From a real flight manual: "Takeoffs in more than three inches of slush are [i]NOT RECCOMMENDED[/i]". Of course the pilots only looked at the manual [i]after[/i] we took off in five inches of slush. It was not all that comforting when the plane commander then deadpanned "If we had to abort we would have ended up in the golf course."

Heh. That's funny. I will admit, I wonder why they didn't find something, perhaps, less useful to use for their little lottery. I'm actually reassured to see I'm not the only one who worries about silly little things like that.
