But I have to say, I found Rachel's avoiding saying goodbye to Ross in the show totally implausible, though you do your best to justify it.

This story is a perfect example of what makes Ross and Rachel so great. Their relationship is not wrapped in a pretty little bow. They are angsty and there is always some sort of drama but that is why we love them. No matter what they've been through they will always love eachother and find a way to make it work. Really great job!
Imagine what if 2007-12-28 ch 1,	abuseA well-written snapshot of a day in the life of our favorite couple. You know ... as right as Phoebe as during the show I think she was wrong when she said "They are perfect for each other". Ross/Rachel are far from perfect as a couple and you illustrate that well in this story. Their love-affair in the show was not real ... or even close to it. It was dictated by economics and profitability ... not love. If they had stayed together after season 4 ... how long would the show lasted for? I really liked these: "I called Phoebe. She can watch Emma tomorrow so you can work late." - A not-so-random act of kindness on Ross' part. I love the fact that he can put her feelings before himself. "Thank you," she whispered. - A few words from her mouth that made it all worth while to for him. Ross was so insecure about her love for him ... anything to build his confidence made him feel like the king-of-the-world. I have one question though, you use the qualifier "wicked" a lot as in "wicked random". What do you mean when you use it in this context? I hope you get your writing inspiration back soon enough ... my muse has left me with a number of chapters left to write in my story. Oh please come back to me my muse!

Like they have been through so much that when they fight it is serious, but they still love each other so much. I think this is one of the best fics I have read in a long time. Keep it up.
