I know my buddy Andrew will certainly love it when I tell him you updated your story, hehehe. ^_^ Yugo's conversation with Alice was so great and dead-on; I adored their lovey-dovey little whispered conversation, and I wonder what they might have said that caused Uriko to call him a pervert? Surely Alice didn't say something that sounded dirty... o_O Hahaha, I wonder... Ahh, Yugo needs to learn to be more respectful to Gado; he is, after all, his father's best friend, and Gado meddles because he cares. Like all old, nosy people. >.>; The teasing between the brothers was very cute too, and damn, I am glad that Yugo influenced the little guy to accept the date after all. Of course, now I want to know how Kenji will seek information on dating, because I'll bet he is more than just a little nervous and he probably would like some advice. Maybe from his big brother? ^_^ Well, Yugo has it a little more easier, because he is naturally more suave and he's been with Alice for quite some time, so they are likely comfortable and settled together. It's sweet that Kenji already has such strong feelings for Uriko, but it's sad that he isn't willing to admit so, because he worries about hurting her in the end. He needs to realize at some point that he is denying the chance to be happy, and it is all his own doing. =/ I get that Kenji is accustomed to angst, but damn it, he really, really needs to be prodded toward the light sometimes. I bet Uriko could nudge him in the right direction - although it would be more effective if she dragged him there by the arm, hehe - but she doesn't want to force Kenji into a situation that makes him feel uncomfortable, of course. Ah, I hope all's well that ends well... I want happiness for Kenji. I think love would really heal his heart and even some of his scars, no matter how bloody corny that might sound. >.> I might torment Kenji in my fics sometimes, but I usually give him a truly happy ending, because if anyone deserves it, he does. So please, no more sadness and confusion and solitude for Kenji... Like a budding flower, he needs a lot of love and nurture and bright sunshine to grow, and he certainly cannot do that when he is trapped in the darkness, deeply rooted by the sins of his past and unable to break free of the guilt that shackles him to eternal damnation. But I am sure that Uriko could pluck Kenji up and cuddle him with her own source of light and hope. Okay, now before you shoot me for saying such damn corny things, I will stop and just take a step back to compliment you on some other areas. ^_^ You know what, I've gotta say that I honestly can't believe how damn well you write these characters when you have just barely gotten into the fandom. :D Some of the fans that have been in BR for a long time should really take lessons from you, hehehe. :) I sure hope you will stay here for a long time, although I know you are very attached to the Shadow Hearts community. Like me and BR, you'll likely never completely leave SH, so one day, I think you will delve back in there with horns blaring and arms full of new JxS fiction. :D I might lament that day when it comes, but nevertheless, I intend to stick by your side. Together we will rule the Keniko and JxS world and bring attention to these two beloved couples! HUZZAH! ^_~ My moment of insanity is over, I swear... Anyway, I'm sorry that this review isn't as long as the one I wrote for the previous chapter... Um, I really hope you aren't disappointed in me? ^^0 Just wanna let you know that I'm still eagerly waiting for the next chapter, and I can't wait to find out how the first date will end... :) Hopefully there will be more dates! And kisses! And flowers and hugs and dances and movies and maybe even sex... well, eventually. XD

It felt a little bit like a high school anime drama, what with the comical beginning and later miscommunication and such. =P I'll be looking forward to seeing how this unfolds. Oh, and I enjoyed your characterization of Kenji and Uriko; very nice for a first BR fic! Well done!

Now, onto comments of the fic itself! Prepare for a long spiel of insane rambling from me... Go to the bathroom now, while you can! XD A very, very awesome start. I mean, there's a list of possible explanations with pluses and minuses... that calculuating factor is just so like Kenji. Hey, Uriko is not psychotic... D: She was trapped at Tylon, yes, but it doesn't mean she had lasting effects that are presently screwing up her psychological mindset and will go around with bloodlust in her eyes or anything. Now, I gotta admit that I was greatly amused by #6, albeit I really hope it isn't really due to Busuzima's influence that Kenji and Uriko are attracted to each other. =/ Damn it, Kenji, would you stop being so pessimistic already...! A sweet, darling girl likes you; just work with it and quit overanalyzing every little thing before you miss out on a very special relationship! Oh hell, I understand his precaution, I truly do, but I also think that he really needs to relax and enjoy himself once in a while, and Uriko would certainly be a great teacher for him in that department, hehe. Although Kenji seems to be good at learning some things for himself, he really should go to Uriko on certain subjects... (You know, I still can't believe he was actually reading shoujo manga in public. Talk about being dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge... Well, if he truly wants to get into the mind of a girl, us being such foreign, complicated creatures and all... XD Hmm, I guess it would be equivilent to a guy in our day and age reading Cosmopolitan to try and understand what a girl wants from men, eh?) So Uriko has a crush on Kenji, or maybe even loves him. Is that really such a bad thing? I mean, it's not like she's asking him to marry her or anything. :P She probably just wants to go out on a date and have fun with him. I have to be mean and admit I am glad he has turned down all those girls who propositioned him before Uriko sent her love letter. None of them would be able to understand Kenji the way Uriko does... I believe she was his first true friend. Yugo, Alice, and Gado are important to him as well, of course, but Yugo is his family, Alice is his more prominent as his brother's girlfriend, and Gado is the wise old man that likes to stick his nose in everyone's business. XD I kid, hehe, but in all seriousness... I think that Uriko would be a great girlfriend for Kenji. I really mean it. With their sufficient similarities and despite the juxtaposed differences in personalities, they can still really complement each other. But enough of that rant... Bah, it's not for lack of attraction, my dear Uriko. He totally wants you, but he's scared... it's actually kind of sweet; Kenji is so considerate of her and afraid of hurting someone he truly cares about that he would rather stay away because he does not want to risk the chance of causing her any harm. Oh, he is so chilvarous that I find him all the more appealing... _ Uriko has great taste, hehehe. Oh, miscommunication is good in this particular instance. XD Damn, I sure hope that something will prevent Kenji from calling her to issue the rejection once and for all. D: I'm glad that he realized Uriko must like him for something truly good, something very noble and admirable in him, so that maybe now, he can realize that he is not so fiendish. I know that he hurt and killed people in the past, but it wasn't his fault... unless he believes that Uriko doing the same as a child makes her a monster? Maybe if she explains to him what had happened to her, they could work together to deplete the heavy burden of his guilt. After all, Kenji needs to learn how to cope with his sins, and he will need help from someone who can really understand how he's feeling. Uriko has gone through a similar situation, so she can emphaize... plus, she is a very good friend to Kenji. So, he wants to know what Uriko sees in him, huh? They can find out together... ^_^ The sweetest part is that he already loves her, so it isn't the lack of feelings on his end. Please, Kenji, don't deprive yourself of happiness any longer... Uriko made him smile the only smile in the entire BRII game; I think she will be able to heal the scars in his wounded soul. Goodness, I have written a freakin' fic of my own in this long-** review... O_O I hope your eyes aren't spinning by now, my dear, heh, heh... ^^0 Please update this soon~!
