Rian Sage 2008-05-07 ch 4,	abuseFirst of all, I think it's very sweet that Kaiden fell asleep at the table. It's too late for him, he's fallen. Joker was quite forthcoming in this. I loved his exchange with Kaiden. In the game, you only get that brief conv with them at the very beginning. So I really like how you're touching more on the Kaiden/Joker banter. I laughed when Joker told him he was being an **. The part I liked most about Joker and Shepard was how she kept true to herself and Kaiden by listening, but not giving too much away. She's still trying to figure this thing out and Joker isn't exactly a confidant. He definitely helped her, but she didn't go running into Kaiden's arms. I think that was very well done for this situation. Poor Joker, life's not fair.

I loved Ashley in the game and having Joker admit that he couldn't tell his feelings for her made me actually choke up and feel the tears. Then how Joker said that he didn't want that happening to Elizabeth and Kaidan because one or the other might die, and then it would be too late. Just like Joker and Ash. I was going to actually cry.

And actually when it came to the decision of who to save, I have to admit, I DEFINITELY let my feelings for Kaiden sway my judgment. He is really cute. So anyways great story, can't wait to read the next chapter. =)

impsy 2008-03-15 ch 3,	abuseSo I'm finally back into Mass Effect (since I FINALLY have some free time!) and got around to reading this, and I'm sad I put it off so long! I thought it was fantastic, and a really interesting part of the game that we never got to see. The Joker section, of course, broke my lil Joker x Shepard-loving heart - especially this line: "'Just… just don’t take her for granted, okay?' The Lieutenant wasn’t sure how to take that statement; he felt the remnants of jealousy stirring in his chest again. He looked down to Joker curiously, but the other man kept his eyes firmly on his console." Poor Joker! Telling Kaidan to go after Shepard when he wants to himself (at least that's how I see it, hehe). I'm finally finishing my next oneshot, so I will hopefully be uploading it soon! I can't wait for more stuff from you!
