Captain Hilts 2009-08-10 . chapter 4Oh, wow. Simply heart-breaking. I have to tell you, I wondered in your other story what had happened to Erol's mother. This was just so sad- but don't worry, it was very well written. :) I can understand why he would be so...messed up in the future. The fact that he was only eight and saw everything happen to his mother...again, heartbreaking. I think everything makes more since for how he eventually becomes.
I loved the first chapter, though! So cute. I always thought stories with him as a child were interesting, because we don't know anything about him for one, and it's always fun to see how people portray him. In my mind, he's very hyper active for some reason, and he eats a lot and forgets his manners constantly, as you had it. :D I loved the little insight we had there between him and his mother, and I really liked the scenes with Torn. They seem like such good friends, and I loved the idea of Ripp being babysat by Erol. ha ha. :)
I really wanted Sola to live, inspite of the fact I knew what was going to happen...it's so sad. And I'm thinking Erol's going to go after them in the future for revenge- that's just my taking on it. I actually hope he does.
Awesome job with this story! I liked it very much. It explains a lot of things I thought about while reading your other story... and I hope it gives your characters insentive in future tales. Woah, what a BOOK I've written...but I just thought I should tell you. ha ha. ;)

newhi 2008-08-08 . chapter 4*Cries* Great...just great! You did that so well T.T *BALLS LIKE A BABY!* |
newhi 2008-08-08 . chapter 3*Cries for poor little Erol-kun! Glomps him and nuzzles feeling so bad for him!* That is just...aw! How could you type that without crying?! *Sobs* Poor little Erol-kun! |
newhi 2008-08-08 . chapter 2Torn was a smart ass in this one, lol. Loved the slave driver part! Really funny, but was it blood that the latter was in? Just guessing and kinda wanna know >.>...I'm slow do don't hate me if it's one of them 'duh' things X3 |
newhi 2008-08-08 . chapter 1Erol-nip LMAO! Aww...he doesn't like to help his friend? Mean! But what more can I see the boy doing, ey? That's just Erol for you! Love the chp, and his Dad seems so much nicer in this than in the other story, but I guess that's cus his wife didn't die yet XD
*Goes to read more* and like I said before, you're great at this! |
Corad and Bijoux 2008-08-08 . chapter 4Lovely ending, GreyJedi. You tied it up very well :) It seems like Erol and Buir fight alot, huh? This was an interesting idea for Erol's childhood. I'm intrigued to know whether Buir's still alive in the present. He seemed like an awesome character, along with Solah. Overall, a fantastic story GreyJedi. Kept me entertained the entire time! Nice work :D |
Corad and Bijoux 2008-08-08 . chapter 3;.; That was a sad chapter ;.; It must have been horrible for Erol to witness what he did. I guess you're right about the reasons why he acts like he does now. I felt sorry for Buir too, having to find Solah like that. And Solah...man, I knew it was coming, but I didn't realise it was so brutal. I was becoming quite attached to Solah too...
Sharok: Everything you become attached to seems to kick the bucket. Why don't you stop being attached to things?
Corad: Nyeh...(death glares Sharok) Despite being very upsetting Grey-sama, this chapter was thoroughly entertaining. It had me hooked :) And another thing...are the men the same dudes who are in THOAW? Some of the names sound familiar...especially Cutlass O.o |
Corad and Bijoux 2008-08-08 . chapter 2Poor, poor Erol...
Sharok: Why? Coz crazy men are at his door?
Corad: He was forced to drink milk, even though he didn't! And yes, that too. I'm enjoying the mother-son bond between Solah and Erol; very cute :D It's great that Erol takes the time to look after Ripp for Torn and Juska. He seems like a good friend to Torn. When the men came to their home, it was real creepy. You wrote the scene very well, GreyJedi. Nice cliffie too :D |
Corad and Bijoux 2008-08-08 . chapter 1Great start, GreyJedi :) It's great to see some stories about Erol's childhood. I liked the nice family atmosphere during this, and man...reading this chapter made me hungry-er.
Sharok: (rolls eyes)
Corad: I had a sudden craving for spag-bog O.o' But yeah, I seriously don't know why I never read this before now. What was up with that?
Sharok: You being an idiot again?
Corad: Ah, true true. Sorry for taking years to read this my friend. Again, great beginning, nice story set-up and characterisation :D Awesome work! |
AlterEgoSadist 2008-03-22 . chapter 4A fine ending, all I can say. You gathered up the pieces and added them in here pretty good. I like Errol in this chapter. He's less a young, whiny child and more like a mature, capable adult. Then, again, he has grown, so of course he's changed. I like the communication between Buir and Errol in the beginning. Reminds me of a book called Speak that we just finished in my English class. Have you read/heard of it? Its by Laurie Halse Anderson, and its pretty good by my standards. I'm more of a Fantasy/Action addict, though. XD The "silence" parts were a little creepy, but they gave him reason to do stuff, so I guess its okay. The telephone chat between Errol and Torn was amusing. Who ever knew the Freedom League Commander hated Science? And the part with his brother Ripp was funny. Wonder what the little guy did...The arguement between Buir and Errol sounded natural to me. A classical squabble btween father and son. And about romance too...sounds intriguing. Wonder how Solah would react if she saw her husband and son bickering like that. Must be very disappointed (Shakes head) But I'm glad they made up! ^_^ Errol's emotional reactions were a bit heartbreaking. Just pitiful to look at, much more read. (Sighs) Overall, that was a wonderful story, beautifully concocted and produced. Keep up the great work, okay? You are a talented writer! |
AlterEgoSadist 2008-03-01 . chapter 3My, my...Such a cruel way to end a good story! Although it was pretty sad, even from the beginning and especially during the end. The second chapter was very suspenseful, along with the third. I'm glad you included a part with Erol and Torn together in it, even if it was small. Their friendship seems to be very tight. Wonder how the tragedy will affect that in the later future, as with the bond between father and son. Something still puzzles me though: Even when witnessing his mother's death, couldn't Erol still have a small shred of sanity and humanity left in him with the existance of Torn and Buir? Yeah, I'd be freaked if I'd seen some guy(s) murder my parent, but I'd still be able to cope with it and move on. Hopefully I won't have to experience that in the later future. (Shudders) Or does something else happen that tears the connection apart and causes the Commander to go insane, as time goes on? Poor guy...I've always been a fan of him...(Pats Errol's head and gets glared at). I've read many stories that portray how exactly Erol's loses his mind. But to see one that is written out so smoothly, so flawlessly, with perfect OCs and an shocking event that occurs during his own childhood (most of them happen while he's in the KG or an adult) is absolutely wonderful! I loved all of it, and highly recommend you to write a sequel to this! Keep up the great work, okay? You are a brilliant author! |
missingthepoint 2008-02-23 . chapter 3i don't think your freak, and if you are...then i'm one too! this explains some of erol's insanity, this could have happened, could have! witnessing your beloved mom's death at the hands of some...a**holes! yeah, i said it! sort of.
i wonder what's gonna happen next for poor innocent child erol? you do me so much good. so much good! |
missingthepoint 2008-02-22 . chapter 2what is going on!!?
hold on. let me applaud you on how interesting this story is. we don't get to read much about erol's past, let alone torn's. i like that you were able to come up with two other fics, sorry for the miscount. i will happily read them!
i hope that you will continue on. |
missingthepoint 2008-02-21 . chapter 1this was good beginning. really. i've noticed that you have another jak and daxter fic up so i'll go to that one as well. i hope that you will be able to update. |
AlterEgoSadist 2007-12-28 . chapter 1This is a great beginning to your series, with a peaceful atmosphere and a slightly worrying ending. Erol has a lot of his original personality cut out, as he seems much more obedient and willing to do things. His stubborness and impatience still sticks with him, though! (Laughs) Solah and Buir portray normal parent attitudes, loving and caring, though the mother's behavior to Erol displayed him as a bit of an idiot/nusiance. Well, that's mothers for you, eh? Always ridiculing their children! I liked the fact that you made Torn and Erol friends, as it seems to rival their hatred torwards each other in the (much) later future. So, Torn has to stay home to care for his sick mother, eh? And Erol had to bring him his homework every day last year, huh? Sad, very sad... (Shakes head) Anyways, great story so far! Update soon, okay? You are a brilliant author! |
