abuseWhat a great story! I love how Leslie reconnects with the family-and how the past fantasy impacts what goes on in the ship recovery!

The sweet way Christian and Leslie embrace their time together-sigh..it makes what they've gone through mean so much more. Thanks for a wonderful tale-but the foreshadowing of what Christian found...shivers! I look forward to finding out what happens next!

abuseIn the aftermath of the discoveries of Chapter 3, this feels like a pleasant afterglow in this chapter. It's wonderful to see Christian and Leslie back together again as they should be...

Yeah, that's a tough question. To the castle or the museum? At the very least, if it goes to the castle, there should be a display for it. Visitors should have a chance to see it. Actually, there should be a chance for tourists to explore the castle as well. Buckingham Palace and many other homes of British royalty, as well as the American White House, do have tours that take place even when the inhabitants are at home.

I'm sure Roarke is right. So much is going on--the triplets, the shipwrecks, the raising of the Royal Glory, and the finding of the crown...it's probably going to be a month before they get to come home to FI.

Hooray! Appearances by Gerhard and Liselotta and their children!

Yup, it's much too gaudy to wear in 2004. But I'm glad the family had a private showing of the crown, as it were. They are correct, of course. The security that the castle would require is literally alarming. There's so much security at the Tower of London, home of the Crown Jewels, so I can imagine how crazy that would make things at the castle. The museum is a better choice to handle those headaches...

Hooray! The trips have a new friend in Viktoria! Wow, they are three months old...seems just like yesterday they were born... and I agree, Liselotta's English is coming along nicely. Hehehe, social butterflies thanks to their cousins. Well, they might be half a world away from their cousins, but they will be well-loved. Oh no, turning into hams just like my boys...oh, well...

Cool! He's going to bring them up for visits. Excellent. I like how he feels that the castle is happy and relaxed, despite everything that the Arnulfs did...

I'm sure Christian can't wait to sleep through the night. Yes, I remember what a blessed joy that was after my oldest first slept through the night.

Hehehe! Leslie can get as engrossed in a book as I do...Showers feel really good when you feel grubby and dirty! :)

Yah! The first appearance of the trips in the press! And Leslie could say a few words in jordisk for them...awesome!

Heheheh...Prince Christian, the Hero! It's a case of blaming the messenger, or in this case, praising the messenger. Sigh. Humans...

OMG! What did you do...er, what did Briella do? No fair making us wait! What a heckuva cliffhanger! Somehow I think that they are going to be in Lilla Jordso much longer than a month now...I wonder if Roarke has to borrow Julie, or perhaps Rory is old enough now, to help out with the fantasies...

I can't wait! I feel like I'm on the edge of my seat with anticipation...Anticipation is making me wait...keeping me waiting...(with apologies to Carly Simon)

abuseHahahah! I didn't know Christian found wetsuits so interesting, either! Captain Gavin Meadows eh...methinks I detect a nod to Gavin McLeod, who played Captain Merrill Stubing on the Love Boat, FI's partner in entertainment on those long ago Saturday Nights...

Yes, I see where Christian's thoughts are going...the Royal Glory is here, and a few miles away are the pirate ships...and near them, the crown...well, maybe he isn't quite thinking about the crown yet.

Very cool, having him in the communications shack...well, that isn't the politically correct term anymore...but at the point where he can relay the info back to the castle and keep in contact with the family.

Oh this is SO EXCITING! I feel like I'm really there on the ship with Christian! Well-written, indeed!

LMAO~Gabby wants to keep the trips? Oh that is soo funny and sweet. Maybe she'll decide to adopt some orphans? Hint hint.

Oh yeah, Liselotta is Gerhard's wife, thanks for the reminder, I forgot in my last review.

Yeah, I agree, maybe Briella can find a widower with children (sounds like Errico, but I don't know of anyone who's available at this time with that situation...except the Duke, but his son's an adult and Ingela is still alive, alas).

Ah, the crown silhouette in gold leaf. Yes, that should have stayed on the ship.

Oh, Love is Blue is a good piece of music. Heheheh, somebody else is good at sticking songs into people's heads beside me (rubbing my hands with evil glee at the thought...now what song shall I stick into the heads of those who read this review...hehehehe)

Hooray! There's the crown silhouette! It's the Royal Glory! AWESOME!

Yes, the entire country will go gaga over the news of this find. And it really will give the LJ navy something to do other than endless coastal patrols and the occasional rescue of fishermen...
They probably have been a neutral country since the Congress of Vienna in 1815 that effectively ended the Napoleonic era.

Good, they can bring the ship in. Now I wonder how the other ship is doing...

Hehehehe, Christian's actually sorta having the last laugh on that pirate from the last fantasy...

OMG, can it be...did Nigel find it...

Oh, this is SO EXCITING~

YES YES YES! IT'S THE CROWN! YAHO! Ops, let me calm down a bit lol...

Cool, he'll take the crown and the other artifacts back... Hmm, but wait, I'm not how the crew will be paid...

This was certainly a fabulous chapter again! These moments of discovering the Royal Glory and the crown are as exciting as similar moments in films. Well done!

abuseAh, we finally get to meet the staff of the London branch. Gemma is a nifty name, much underutilized in baby naming in the English-speaking world. Hmm, I hope Ingrid will be okay by herself with the triplets. She hasn't had much experience by herself with all three--usually Christian or Leslie are around, after all.

Hooray! Leslie understands a few words of Christian's phone call to Anna-Laura, just like I can understand of few words of Spanish. O, what a neat phone call he had with her. Very ambitious project to find and possibly raise the Royal Glory. Hope it works better than when Dirk Pitt helped to raise the Titanic (dunno if that adventure took place in your timeline or not).

That's a good plan to send Leslie, the trips, and Ingrid on to LJ if things work out. And I loved the quote in reference to Jonathan "He may as well learn how to be separated from the woman he loves…” heheheheh...

Hurrah, that plan will work out! And Christian can go on the expedition! (BIG GRIN)

Good catch on the reference to the Vasa in Stockholm. In fact, if they could get the necessary financing, I think a whole museum could be built that would focus on the Royal Glory; it would be fairly easy to acquire the artifacts appropriate to the time period to fit out the ship for museum duty. (I think cheapskate Eric VI would approve that a warship would serve double duty as a museum piece someday.)

Oh so cool! The triplets meet their cousins and other family members in LJ! Great moment!

Roald likes Tobias and is nice to the babies! Woohoo and a half!

Practically saints? Hahahahahah! Leslie and Christian will have to deal with a lot of media scrutiny, alas... Baby clothes, gifts from the people? How wonderful the citizens of LJ really are! :)

It's wonderful that the Enstads are a pretty loving family, Ulf and Arnulf not withstanding (Lukas, his wife, and Susanna definitely left a huge impact on Carl-Johan, Anna-Laura, and Christian and their choices for mates and the way they raise their children). I hope Gerhard can make an appearance.

Hmm, I wonder if the next chapter will follow Christian's point of view. I can't wait for it!

abuseI love the story title!

Oh crap, Janine's flown the coop...wonder how this will play out...and I don't recall if she had even ASKED her grandparents if she could come live with them...

Holy paradise! Ah, that must be Leslie's equivalent to Christian's herregud...

Driving at 15? Hm, not sure that's safe, but then again on FI there are probably less than 100 personal cars privately owned (not Roarke's fleet or vehicles for the pineapple plantation). And it only seems like Maureen and Grady, among Leslie's friends, actually have a car. (Though obviously all of their neighbors in the Enclave would have said wheeled vehicles...)

Well, at least Camille and Andrea aren't going to blame Christian and Leslie for what Janine did. Besides, it was a good job for a kid to get some money after all. And as Christian says, he won't have to deal with her crush any longer.

What an airplane! Sounds like a dream to travel on. Perhaps he spent enough on the plane to allow Kronstrom and Dalby to upgrade their website? LOL Of course, you still have to fly the charter...there's no jetstrips on FI, and Coral Island wouldn't have a civilian airport (the civilians fly on the Military Transport Service).

Oh cool, I didn't realize Catalina came to FI with Michiko.

Hahahaha...indeed Errico's got money to burn. I'd bet dollars to donuts he'd enable Christian to build an opulent office complex...big enough to service all the computers in Manhattan! But considering the wealth of Arcolos, I suspect more people and businesses have computers per capita than in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, France, Germany, or Britain.

Cool, Errico's gonna blow more of the national treasury on Christian and Leslie and the family... Nice for him to send some wine home to FI. Oh good, Carlono's gonna get married...to the vineyard owner. That's gonna make Errico's wealth spread farther, as Carlono can spend Senica's funds and not use Errico's money (I cannot imagine Carlono staying in the palace when he can go live at the vineyard!)

Hey, that's neat, Errico thinks of Christian as a friend. “In actual fact, my dear old friend!..." I like that. Good touch. I have long desired for the two to be friends. Yeah, I'm a geek and really attached to your characters...

As an investment? Interesting, and with 5% of the profits going to one of Michiko's charities. I like this idea. I hope Christian goes along with it...

Oh boy, poor Michiko! Meeting the Queen...yes, that would certainly give commoners like her and Leslie the collywobbles (not to mention me! lol).

Darn...he doesn't want to take Errico up on the offer. Well, I guess I can understand his position. He's had to fight for everything his whole adult life. This will be hard for him to accept. But I sure hope you make him change his mind. It's a great win/win situation for EVERYONE!

Fabulous chapter!

abuseI like Errico's idea! Its a great way to get the business off the ground, and help out charity at the same time! But I suspect that there is more to this trip to England than meets the eye!
