Very well-written, I find it interesting that Amalthea looks to the sea the same way King Haggard did so many years before. Hopefully she isn't going as mad as the old dude did.
By the way, just an interesting tidbit: the name Amalthea came from a Greek myth involving a one-horned woman (I think- it was a one-horned something, that's for sure). So, even though Amalthea was a human, she still had a link to unicorns, through her name and the one-horned Greek mythology thing. Isn't that cool?)

That would have been SO depressing of that happened in the book/movie. But I would have never tought of it that way.

That's awful situation...that a unicorn should die within a human body. Anyway, I hope that you can revise this, because as meaningful as the message is, you repeat yourself too much. You stress that she 'no longer remebers her quest' and it 'no longer mattered', and yet it keeps on coming up. Try not to repeat yourself so much, because that will dull your point.

I am so of the opinion of Schmendrick! If this had happened I would have been completly and totally disappointed, crushed, and dreadfully sorrowful. Its an interesting idea, tho. But I'm glad it didn't end like this.

One life gone, another begun. What of the unicorns who are trapped because of bull? That is an important question.

Very nice! It is a very believable view on how Amalthea may have lived had she not pursued her original quest. I like it very much! Its got a sort of warm feeling that makes you think that maybe her not returning to be a unicorn isn't so bad.

Really good! Original too- I never would've thought of this. I really think you should continue it, make a real story out of it.
