Good story! I hope Jondalar will realise his predjudice and he and Durc will be friends. Through tool-making, maybe they could learn to like each other. To introduce Rydag and the mammoth-hunters already was a good idea! I realise you probably have stopped writing this story, but if not, I will be happy to continue to read it!

I recently decided to go scouting for some Earth's Children fic and yours piqued my curiosity. I have always wondered what would have happened if Ayla would have taken Durc rather than leave him. This last chapter surprised me with his decision to leave. Mostly because he didn't wait for a sign from his totem, but I guess the dream from Ursus could have been taken as a very strong sign, yes? Plus, how else was he going to meet Rydag? Now I'm very curios to see what you're going to do from here. What is the rest of Lion Camp going to think? Will they accept him in any fashion or will he be sent on his merry way? And what will Ayla do now that her son has disappeared?

Your story is so good!! I love the Earth's Children series and was so excited to see your story!! It's very well developed like Auel's books, I can't wait to see what you do next!

I like how you started tying things into The Mammoth Hunters. Ayla always wondered how Rydag and Durc would get along with each other, so I'm glad to see that they hit it off well =)

Rydag can speak the Mamutoi language perfectly fine, though. Why is he having trouble saying simple words, like his own NAME, all of a sudden? Why such an aversion to words? Am I recalling things incorrectly?

I really want to see Ayla and Jondalar as well. I really want Ayla to have horses and Baby maybe others lions, Wolf and others wolves perhaps also other animals hawks, Dirk tooth tigers

Perhaps she can also have like cattle for food

Also I think someone said she should have the wheel I think that is brilliant but why stop there have stage coaches you know I saw a special where some in Roman times had like shock absorbers or whatever you call them

Oh my. Anyways, getting a foal separated from a herd of horses is never that easy. The foal would not go into trees, but would get closer to its dam. And also the foal would not accept them nearly that easily.
