I like how you have both Walkter and Alucard rushing to her defense. You also manage to capture her as both a commander and a teenage girl, wich is a difficult thing to do.

I don't know why I never came across your writing before on --but I'm glad I did, because I really enjoyed this fic. The way you built up the pressures placed on Integra as a young girl placed in a position of authority led very believably to the bathtub scene. (I love stories that describe the problems and stresses faced by Integra in trying to assume full control over Hellsing!) I especially enjoyed the style of writing which opts to show instead of tell, and avoids a heavy-handed kind of treatment of its content (like Walter's anxiety over the implied intimacy between Integra/Alucard and Integra herself denying that she was going to breathe in, only to break down crying.) The character dynamics were sensitively handled too, from Walter's concern for Integra, to Alucard's reaction to his master's actions. The part where he gangs up with Walter against Integra in order to drag the truth from her ("You were about to breathe in") was strangely touching but sad at the same time, and entirely typical of how Alucard might react, intent on resolving the issue/making Integra face her demons, and being pesky, inconvenient but also absolutely right in the process. It could have been a straight-forward 'Integra cracks under pressure' fic, or even an 'Alucard sees Integra in the bath' fic, but you gave it dimension and made it so much more without detracting from its emotional impact. A subtle and thoughtful story. The time you spent working on this was well worth it!
