We are actually playing Birdland, and our band director goes- you guys are the only ones who can make this song sound good.
hehe- if you switch the o and n in song it spells snog. lol

Here's one:
Having it be 20ish degrees out, with snow/hail coming down, and having you band director(who is sitting in a chair with 50 blankets) yell at you about how it's not cold when you complain.
Yelling at said band director for being a jerk and him throwing a tantrum. Then him going to his room. Then you taking over the band and telling another senior to get hot chocolate for everyone.

flutes=BAD
low Brass=FUCKING AMAZING)
saxaphones=always completely out of tune
trumpets=more trouble than they're worth
clarinets=broken instuments
drum line=super-fly
colorgaurd= beware the people with weapons who know what they're doing. Beware even more the people with weapons who DON'T know what they're doing.
freshmen= terrible and thinking that they are amazing

everything fun happens in the low brass room- for example, my brother and my boyfriend decided to switch ALL their clothes in the low brass room. good thing I didn't walk in on them halfway through this exchange. Even better that they didn't change back into their regular pants/shirts in front of the new band director, who didn't blush and turn away because he's 25, new, and bi, which the low brass totally didn't figure out by themselves. Except the opposite of all that.

Yes, giving other band kids energy drinks is a big no-no. 8(

haha, I love these! Here's one for you...
-watching football players come out of the girl's restroom in the band hallway because the bathrooms aren't labeled.
-watching the drum majors lead the stretching in princess outfits, which included tiaras, floorlength dresses, and sneakers, because it's spirit week.
-having one of the band moms comment on one of the trumpet's dirty dancing, then realizing its your boyfriend.

Those were great.
