You're right, it's alightly OOC, but acceptably so. ^^
It's really cute, I particularly liked the following part:
"No, Watanuki had handed his bentou over with another one of those sweet smiles that made Doumeki freeze in place and contemplate the likelihood that a sweet-tempered spirit had possessed his friend"
That sounds like something Doumeki would say, in fact, I'm surprised he didn't ask about it. XD
However, I feel in the need to point that in Japan Christmas celebrations are slightly different from the ones in other places in that Japanese people don't exchange gifts unless it is with their lovers (and even that is optional). In fact, Christmas has been institutionalized as a holiday for couples to spent time together (in a date) in Japan, while families just celebrate with a christmas tree and a christmas...cake. With candles and everything. :P

it wasn't too OCC, in fact i found it refreshing to have authors writing about something other than kimihiro throwing a spaz every two lines. it was also really touching! loved it!

Gods after meeting the voice actor that does Watanuki (in english dub) last weekend and then reading this for some strange reason it makes it more "real" >shaking head< Af's just giggling and saying "that's not to OOC for them" thank you for the fic

I thought it was great!! I thought it was only a little OOC, because you included the whole annoyance with Doumeki at the beginning and throughout.

No, I don't think they were OOC, just a little bit more mature- which is where they're headed in the manga right now anyway. I thought this absolutely adorable. ^_^
