Wow ... I really want to cry after reading this story. Of all the movie Decepticons, Bonecrusher is defineitely my favourite. Not just because he looks cool, but because he is not inherently evil, unlike the others - he is simply full of bitter HATRED, and a tormented soul. I love this one shot - it's an excellent character study, and makes me pity movie-Bonecrusher even more.

Have you read the fanfic 'Portraits' by Gloria Stone. If you can tolerate the pairing being Bonecrusher and Mikaela, then you'll see it is a wonderful story. It implies that Bonecrusher is not dumped into the ocean, but survives the battle with Optimus and isfound by someone else, and Mikaela then saves him from being melted down. It also states that Bonecrusher's "brothers" were killed prior to the movie. I recommend you read it - it's a fantastic read, with a lot of emphasis on Bonecrusher's character - both through his eyes, and Mikaela's.

(P.S. According to an official movie comic, Bonecrusher survived the final battle anyway, and got himself repairs and a new paint job. Also, several movie producers have actually considered including the Constructicons in a sequel film.)

You're right, Bonecrusher doesn't get enough love... I was never a big fan of the guy but this has made me feel altogether quite sorry for him.
