I liked this, but, don't you think Aly's a little bit too... perfect? I would think Thom, probably the most scholarly of Alanna's children, would have no trouble translating a language, while Aly would excel in the speaking of a language, but not really the written form.

Just a thought, and this was a very well written fic.

That was cute. Reminds me of my relationship with my brother, in a strange way. Only my brother is 5 years younger! I liked it.

Oh, I loved this. Aly is perfect- flirty and laughing and careless of her brother's feelings in the matter. I would love to see more. Only one problem- be careful of what tense you are writing in. The constant changes made MY head ache!

Example: "...he EXPLAINED. Aly GLANCED at the papers. They ARE WRITTEN in a foreign language, one she KNOWS quite well. The girl GRINNED wickedly.

I love this. You captured Aly perfectly. I love the part at the end with Thom and how she can translate the scroll in her head and he has soo much trouble with it. I really like it and I hope there is more! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE SOON!
