I was so happy to see an update to this story. Sorry to hear that your home got bombarded by the aquafina army. The only glaring issue I see is there seems to be an excessive use of ...s throughout the story. A bit more moderation in their usage is all that's needed, really.

well i was a tad surprised by the way the chapter ended. Which makes me curious as to all hell how the next one will go. Will the stubborn tomboy find a way back to him? I'm puttin my money on yes. Will she bring him back? jury is still out on that one. Cant wait!

Too lazy to sign in. I do think you should give him his happily ever after, but if it is with anyone, it should be with Aeris, not Akane.

Ranma and Akane are too dysfunctional to actually work out; Akane's anger and jealousy won't simply disappear because she's finally said she loves him. Ranma's stubbornness and newfound angst won't totally disappear because he realizes that Aeris wouldn't want this for him. That stuff takes time to even begin to make headway on, and Akane doesn't have the patience to deal with Cloud/Ranma's problems and psychological issues in a way that won't give him more.

It's too simplistic, in my opinion, to simply have him move on and try to live a life with anyone, especially Akane. If the man loves Aeris enough to go through innumerable reincarnations and have Vincent remind him of Aeris every time, he's not thinking about what Aeris would want for him, but that she's not there and how much he needs her. Even if he decides to move on, which could work, I would suppose that he would not choose another girl, if only for the fear that he might start comparing her with Aeris and finding her wanting, which is something that I think would be inevitable now that Cloud's awakened inside Ranma.

I love the way you write this. And I am totally ashamed of the fact that the Reeffentine/Yuffentine part of my brain started squealing and jumping up and down screaming about how that scene with Akane and Cloud are a really good example of what Yuffie would do. I'm so sorry. But I adore what you've done. I just have a one track mind. And this is such a sad story. I normally don't read sad stuff, so consider yourself one of a few!

I would not prefer a RanmaXAkane story. I think it's too overused.

However, should you choose RanmaXAkane, I will continue reading. This story is WAY too interesting for me too let it go.

Ranma/Cloud's despair is still there, but this chapter it seemed to lessen a bit or at least be covered up by anger or frustration with Akane. It seems small, but it is significant that he took it. And I doubt Ranma will ever have a true "happily ever after" but I do think he could find a measure of peace and happiness if he tried (which until now was not even a consideration for him).

The last chapter had me biting my nails, the recent one now had tugging my hair. However just like the the last chapter it had that dark cloud of dread hanging overhead. I know that this is fanfiction and that characters are to be used as you see fit, but Akane the emotionla wreck is something I can't buy. This is why Akane ** fics fail with me always. She has no remdeeming qualities. EVER. Now I'm really worried where this fic is going. Now if this fic ends where Cloud/Ranma somehow gets his act together and choosing Akane, one will make me vomit blood will soon follow with the rest of my guts, two now have proof that there is no god and that heaven is just the cold empty vacume of space, and the saying where an infinite monkkeys on infinite typewriters can write the greatest novel ever is true. Proof would be if this is how this fics ends. Yeah it sounds harsh but its ture. You crafted a wonderful story where emotions are taken for a ride and to make it even better you crossed it with a very important game in my youth that shaped how view and write sotiries. The last chapters are leaning towards Ranma ending up that ** Akane. I know a lot of readers that are getting ready for a dissapointment, I am one of them. My fingers are crossed that things will work out fine, though since my last girlfriend I now have an "expect the worse pray for a quick death" motto and doutb it. Worse is my favorate person Gorge Carlin is nolonger among us and makes me even more articulate about how a lot of things had dissapointed me. But apparantly I'm a glutton for punishment because I dare hope for a happy ending and not the one that comes at the end of a massage... although it is rather welcomed that this fic will end well. Well see. So I'm not holding my breath and will just wait for you to finish or utterly destroy this beautiful piece of written work.
