Oh, this is wonderfully poignant. I love Will and Lyra, and the way you've summarized their character development and their relationship is so beautiful! I especially love the lines "Love fades through a window" and "The wounded knife severs one last bond." Absolutely lovely. And heartbreaking, of course, but I love the feelings I get from those two lines. The poem format really works for this type of thing, too. Excellent work!
