| ms-erupt 2008-08-19 ch 1, | abuseI like the sort of wistful daydreaming going on with Cherry. She's accepted her lot in life, so to speak, and seems okay with it as one is, but wishing for something a bit exciting as ever. Great story as always. |
| Allegorique 2008-03-12 ch 1, | abuseWho doesn't like a bad boy? Someone they can save, or can save them. "He’d see her across the room, smirk, then strut over, making sure everyone could see him." Perfect picture in my head, exactly how it would go, if it was to ever go. It's kind of a sad fic--knowing she's stuck in her lot of life, no matter how good it may seem. The crashing realization that the cards you're dealt, and who you're sitting next to is it. You drew a nice parallel to Bob and Dallas. And, you had Dallas and Steve together. No one ever does that, it seems that most people ignore the relationships that weren't focused on in the book, I'm glad you didn't. Another good fic, Allegorique |
| Greasy Gal 2008-02-02 ch 1, | abuseI really liked this, Mars :) You make Cherry seem so likable, and I like the fantasizing a lot. It's very realistic. Also the run in with the cop was really well written, also. Great work, I'm glad you posted. Love to see more of your work soon, --Alexa, TheOutsidersLvr94 (TheOutsidersLover1994) |
| Big Town Avenue 2008-01-17 ch 1, | abuseSorry my review is coming so late. It took me a while to get to this story and I'm so glad I finally did. Let's start by saying I am not a fan of Cherry. I just plain don't like her. Until she's written like this. I like the Cherry that doesn't like her position in life. Well, she likes it okay enough, but it isn't what she wants; it isn't what gets Dally by her side or close enough. That's the kind of Cherry I like. You've got it so perfectly written how she imagines such a fairy tale rescue. Dally in polished shoes, a nice suit ... so unrealistic, and she knows it. She even knows how it would really go if he were to come strolling through those doors, in tattered clothes and ready for a fight. Cherry may not be a favorite of mine, but when she's written so realistically, it makes it hard to hate her anymore. |
| nocturne tigress 2008-01-15 ch 1, | abuseLove it. She just can't stay away from him...this would make an interesting fic, if you don't mind my saying. |
| Maxiekat 2008-01-08 ch 1, | abuseThat was great, Mars. I love that even though she's frightened of Dallas, Cherry winds up fantasizing about him at the dance. I love that she romanticizes him in her mind, making him into some sort of bad boy hero. And you could really feel the tension and attraction between them in the first part of the story and it was totally believable that she would lie to the cop for him. Great job! |
| soda's girl 2008-01-08 ch 1, | abusethe amazing reviewer returns! ...ur probably so sick of me, but i luv the stories so, oh well! i luved it! especially the last two lines...every girl wants the bad boy sooner or later. |
| xocrazililkelox 2008-01-07 ch 1, | abuseI'm glsd you decided to post this.My favorite scene was the scene with the cop I liked how Cherry wanted to help and lied for Dallas it showed that she isn't self abosobred . I hope you write more soon.=) |
| treehuggerbarbi1 2008-01-07 ch 1, | abuseOh, wow. That was really good =] There's not much to say, because everything was so great. The pacing, her fantasies, everything. And the ending was awesome. Thanks! |
| Hahukum Konn 2008-01-06 ch 1, | abuseI liked. :) Cherry has to know Dallas isn't good for her, yet she can't keep her mind off him. I like the way you kept the Dallas/Cherry interaction just this side of him sliding into definitely-inappropriate-behavior-around-a-girl, but still pushing the limits. :P |
