Wow. The depth of guilt you've portrayed in this story is completely in-character with Spike's actions and words in the later episode "Afterlife." You've brought his pain and self-loathing so vividly to life in this story ... it made my heart hurt. I've already added this to my Favorite Stories list.

I cannot believe no one has reviewed this one yet. I love your stories as a rule, but "Scorn" particularly struck me - this is one manifestation of Spike's guilt that I never really thought about til now. Despite Spike's arguments, I really don't think the real Buffy would treat him that way. But I can see why Spike would think so.
