Aww... I really like this. And I was thinking, while watching Revenge of the Fallen, that Lennox should really take Sam out for a drink or something. The two of them spend so much time saving the world, yet they're rarely in the same scenes together, I just think they should hang out sometime.

Captain Lennox is wonderfully in character here, and gets to show why he's the adult. It works really well. I loved your imagery in the rooftop sequence, it feels very much like a dream, fragmented and disjointed. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

Sounds like a good cure for insomnia too. Clever concept, nicely written. Sam is well characterised.

This is such a good story! You write really well - the description at the beginning is amazing, especially with the idea of the angel protecting Sam, and throughout the story, the way you write the dialogue and the expressions of the characters is just spot-on. It's a nice idea for a story, and you have some really good touches - like Bumblebee touching Sam's face with the seatbelt, and Lennox lightening the story about the manuals with the little joke at the end. I really liked it!

This was an excellent story! I especially liked where the angels were protecting Sam!

I really like this. There aren't enough 'right after the battle' stories out there! I think it would take a while for everyone to calm down and absorb what happened (especially the non military of the group.) Wonderful writing!

I really liked the dream sequence in the beginning. Not particularly sure why... Just did. lol

Ah, PTSD for Sam. Excellent analogy with the statues. And wonderful for Lennox on giving him comfort.

A plausible depiction of friendship and support between Lennox and Sam. It's good to be reminded that Sam is only 17 years old, 18 at most. He is still legally and in many ways emotionally a child, though he is moving into the adult world. Lennox in this story seems sensitive to the way trauma and this unstable stage of life interact, and is able to act in a fatherly way that avoids patronizing Sam without yet treating him as *simply* an equal or fellow soldier. The humor was definitely the right tact to take - playing down the stigma of being reasonably frightened out of one's wits by turning the derision onto himself ("Which was good, because I had no idea what I was talking about") rather than let it sit with Epps or Sam.

Nice. Sam killed Megatron. He killed someone and that's gotta be hard no matter how evil they were. And all that Megatron did to him he's bound to have nightmares from.

That was very well-written and intriguing. I liked the background history you gave on how Epps was terrified of Scorponok, and also liked the little touch with Bumblebee trying to comfort Sam. Well done :)
