Although, this is simply rehashing what I said there, what stands out about this story is that you make the Basch/Penelo pairing seem believable even to someone like myself who prefers BASHE. :D My main concern- or mostly the impatient reader in me - is curious to see how Larsa will affect the story as a whole. They're both going behind his back and that...sucks for lack of a better word. I know you're going to go into this at one point or another, but I suppose that's what I'm most looking forward to reading- Larsa's eventual discovery. (Or even the pair's paranoia of Larsa discovering the feelings they harbor.) Just to reiterate, it's a lovely story. I liked it a lot. :D
c_baby 2008-03-15 ch 10, anon.	abusepoor penelo, TWO cuties feelin her LOL. i really love this story, the ONLY thing is that i notice that you wright penelo and basch a lot like auron and rikku. mayb its just ur writting style, and i have no complaints there lol but i mainly see auron showing up in basch. its more a auron thing ta be a grouch and short tempered. basch i think would never snap at anybody, in FFXII he is very patient and calm no matter what. basch DOES play around too sometimes, so hes not exactly all work and no play either lol. BUT you do have him in some predicament and a half that youll tell us about so mayb that explains it all and i made a auron connection for nothin LOL but ta end this, i didnt write this ta diss your story, i LOVE it, i just wanna point out what i saw and its up ta you if you wanna take what im sayin into consideration:) thank you for a dope story

I have read your previous works with Balthier and Ashe, which is truly one of my favorite pairings, when I noticed this little gem. Really, I had not even thought about pairing Penelo and Basch together, but reading this fic has made me smitten! Your style of writing is amazing, and there are very few mistakes. I also admire the way you portray the various characters of the game. They, especially Vaan, are all perfectly in character, which to me is one of the most important things in a fanfiction, and it’s rare seeing an author who can pull of so many characters. Good job! Oh, and the drama! Love triangles are so tricky, yet extremely entertaining, and I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next. I’m definitely looking forward to the next chapter!

These guys are all in character, and I think this is among the best I've ever seen Vaan written... since everyone just seems to make him the butt of jokes (Guilty as charged). I'm definitely going to have to be keeping up with this now. :-D

I'm terrible at reviews, but wanted to let you know I'm thoroughly enjoying this (I even sat down in the middle of Stargate Atlantis last night to read it when I saw the notification in my email). Is the "pressing state business" the fact that Basch has flown the coop? I guess that would tend to indicate that he's Basch and not Gabranth... Can't wait to read more. You have everyone so completely in character, especially Penelo.
