You have managed to keep the character while changing her past. When I read this story, I still see Buffy and not some other chick who just shares the name and powers. All of your characters have stayed in characters, even though you have given some of them (ie draco) more depth. I can't wait to see where this goes and also where it has been. There are still so many things we the readers don't know!

silveredred 2008-08-18 ch 31,	abuseIts been awhile since I've been able to sit down and read (life getting crazy) and so having a new chapter up of UnExpected was a real treat for me. This review will be a bit broader than just this last chapter so please forgive me if I jump around a bit. I'll start by saying that overall I've noticed an improvement in your writing from when you first wrote Rebuilding Shadows. You seem better able to showcase the little emotions in your second story than in your first. And while you do pull from various perspectives in UnExpected you don't seem to skimp on any of their voices as I occasionally found in RB. Plotwise, I have to admit I was a little concerned when you seemed to backslide into the Buffy is Umbridge's spy bit again but I'd forgotten the Holidays were coming up and you would (hopefully) be able to if not get rid of those thoughts at least put a significant doubt in Hermione's mind. However, even if they realize Buffy is in the Order (and I don't see how they couldn't) I would think that the jealousy that everyone, Harry especially, would feel would cause it's own new problems. The group's second year is still a complete mystery to me and these little hints you throw in i.e. Nagini make my want to growl in frustration. You are so devious, leaving all these little plot nuggets for your reader to chew on...so evil. Romancewise, I thought your inclusion of Nott was a stroke of brilliance. And even though Buffy will most likely be paired with either Harry or Draco there's nothing that says she can't date other people, hell she's 15 she should be crushing on a dozen throughout the year. And I do love your continued use of Neville in Buffy's life and I often wonder just how he feels about her these days. I know I'm not the only person wondering if you'll bring in any of the others from BtVS but at this time except for Spike I don't see how you could. Although, it might be interesting if Buffy ran into Spike over the holidays. Say he finds his heartbroken drunken way to England to remember where he and Dru began before heading to Sunnydale and the last place they were happy. It would be a good way include a little more of Buffy's past, specifically what happened during the Angel/Acatha (sp?) incident. Also, Spike could be used later on as he would be a good choice to work with Voldemort if he recruits vampires (I can't help but compare Voldemort to Adam in season 4). Besides, ever since you mentioned Luna was related to Dru I had this image of Spike meeting her in my head, maybe she could be the reason he decides to turn on Voldemort. I think any relation of Dru's mattering to him and it would be nice to see someone get Luna's oddities. Although, I think in that scenrio I'm going to hope Spike doesn't fall for Luna as it would be him pretty much just overlaying his feelings for Dru onto her. Of course, Dru told him he's covered in Buffy anyways so I suppose that is a moot point. I actually have to stop this now, which is sad because I know I could keep going but early morning and all that. So, I can't wait for the next chapter and I hope you find and chain your muse to your computer...Happy Writing! silveredred

Allen Pitt 2008-08-18 ch 31,	abuseDon't give up, you're doing fine! And now, the prospect of them all stuck in close quarters for 3 weeks. That should be fun. The one good thing is that Sirius & Joyce will be there. But first it will get very very tense, with Sirius/Joyce wondering why. Harry & company will probably think B's mom is an evil woman who has somehow tricked her way into Sirius' confidence. And it'll go downhill from there, as they are definitely keeping major secrets... Should make for a spectacular blowup, the Weasleys can get violent when they get angry, and HP has a temper too... while the adults can't fix it until they know what the problem is. Heh. And it'll never occur to them that it's a "we think Buffy is a death eater" problem.

Buffy Fan 2008-07-26 ch 30, anon.	abuseThe updates are getting more infrequent! Sadness... Great chapter. I like how Harry is still trusting of her (dare we ask WHY? What happened in the Chamber of Secrets that so altered their relationship?). The next chapter will be Christmas, which means that Buffy and the Trio are all going to be back at Number 12, and they are going to be suspicious of an Order meeting, as Buffy (Buffy! Who they think to be a spy!) is a member of the Order, while Harry Potter is not yet. Maybe Buffy has a nice chat with Dumbledore about Harry needing to be given resonsiblity and changes this? And further on the plotline (my vote- B/H!), how is Buffy's status as the Slayer going to filter into Voldemort? Any major players (good guys or villians) from Sunnydale coming back? How about Angel(us)? And will Sirius die? I hope not, because he seems to be good for Joyce. And how many books will play out? Finish this novel, then a sequeal, or just this? How much longer do you anticipate this story being? Good luck! I hope to see the next story soon!

Anyways, this chapter, again, picked up pace from the last one, I really want it to keep going now. And was Buffy just joking w/Malfoy or did he actually beleive her? I can't imagine he would...but maybe... post again soon :)

She's the slayer, when are they going to find out about her being the slayer. Could you fill me in. I love this story. I even read it on Tth. This story is by far the best ever!
