Love this own! Poor Jules. He did seem like such a tortured soul for being so young.

Great story. Could have had more details as to how Jules was hurt. Shold have had Rebecca's reaction to Phileas story of his and Jules first meeting. Maybe even how Jules parents reaction to Jules staying with the Foggs while he recovered.

I enjoyed the story, especially the small details, such as how to spit a watermelon seed, something I was never good at.

AWWW! That is soooo good! I think you should have done a little more focus on the present, I would have liked to have known more aobut Jule's condition, and Philea's reaction to seeing the damage, but it was still a very touching story. Very well written and well thought out.

Good story. Nice use of the "running away to sea" bit. I really like the bit about the whole family not looking good in hats!
