I love it in the way that it connects what he knows after Finny dies and he's enlisted to what he originally thought would come of him, before he ever thought Finny could die. I adore the end, "You are gone./I am gone with you." and whether it was intended or not it immediately brings you to think of how much he lived in Finny, but then it was all just pulled out from beneath him; and using the theme of war to send the message is so obvious.
