You really made me feel Sammy's desperation through his chase for the 'thing' (which I figured to be just that). I both suspected and understood his taking the opportunity offered. Of course this didn't lessen the superb story-telling one bit.
He was right after all: they all should have been given this chance a long time ago in the first place!

Sam's job application at the gas station read hilarious. And I ache for Bobby too who wanted nothing more than to help the last Winchester standing but a little.

very good! Sam's dijin (spelling?) reality is him hunting with Dean. To me it would make sense. Sam never really knew his mother - his happy times were with Dean.

Poor Sam! Really slow on the uptake as I was in the dark til the end what Sam was after- despite your careful clues! Love how Sam's perfcet world involved hunting. Wonderful (if slightly heartbreaking) stuff.
