That's one heck of a back story with St. John and Jo's daughter, Bella and her death. You know I'm not a huge St. John fan, but boy, is fate aligning against him to give him what his brother (Stringfellow) had to endure all those years while St. John seemed to have a charmed life? Any chance we'll read more about that? All things Michael and Marella are welcome to read, so the bit with Angela asserting her independence, and its consequences - both within the plot and learning that her favorite uncle killed her mother -- were of interest. I'm still wondering what Dom meant in "Unexpected Backup" when he said Angela was special, and that Michael had no idea. Angelina reacted better than I'd thought she might to learning about her mother. Perhaps better that she learned at 20, than if she learned anywhere between 13 and 19 where teenagers tend to think their parents are always wrong, and unfair. Still, it might have been a dramatic punch had she fired the gun and hit her target, either her uncle or father. Michael and Sarah seem a good match, now that Sarah has had a chance to live her own life and the opportunities to meet men and Mike has had a chance to settle down a little. Had they tried it earlier, it might have been a disaster. If I can convince you to keep writing, here's a few more things to address: what impact does Alan and Jane's 'resurrection' have on Hawke and St. John? It's great to have them alive, but is the relationship what they'd expected, hoped? People aren't always how we remember them. Did Marella ever adopt Angelina? I considered the possible impacts of something happening to Michael (ideally, not permanently!) and whether Angelina would end up with the Hawkes as her guardians or stay with Marella. And here's another thought - you wrote your universe in sequence. I'm sure there are stories that could exist between the other stories, like fanfic exists between the episodes. Oh, and did I mention I'd hoped you'd write more?

Michael and Marella both continue to reap the consequences of being who they are...which is even more frustrating because they gave all those years in service to their country, and the bad guys are still out there. It's a shame about Jo and Saint John...sigh And bittersweet memories of Dom, a lovely, lovely way to end this story. You've pulled firmly on my heartstrings at every turn. Nicely done.
Layla2 2008-01-22 ch 11,	abuseI've recently "rediscovered" Airwolf-- I was positively addicted to it as a kid. I'm (sigh) 32 now, and re-watching the series, I can see why my Dad endlessly teased me about it. But despite the (frequently) bad writing of the original show, they created some wonderful characters-- including the Lady herself, and had good actors to fill in what the writing lacked. In your stories, this one included, you've given the characters and setting the kind of stories and excellent writing they long deserved. You found the moments of magic the series would occasionally stumble across, and and made an entire saga out of nothing but them. Yet you remained very true to the characters-- I've written a bit of fic in the past, and I know that can often be the most difficult task. In short, thank you for giving some of my favorite characters the kind of stories they deserved, and yes, at least one person is still reading Airwolf fanfic. Then again, I also still get giggle fits whenever I think of the phrase, "They put the balsa wood on the wrong side of the barn..." best, Alyson
