Eve 3/30/13 . chapter 1
You do have a very good point... And it does make sense. Ever Avatar that we learn quite a bit about had a true love. Yang Chen and Kyoshi don't count because they're both girls and we hardly ever got the chance to see them, but Roku and Kuruk had their's! (Did I spell his name right?) I do believe you have some solid proof with the theory and support it 110%!
The Melon Lord Approves 10/31/12 . chapter 1
New headcanon. I've always been a fan of the "Avatars are together-but-separate" theory and that each has their own lover, but the idea of Aang and Katara's love being something true and profound even beyond the individual... I think I like that even more.
Guest 7/11/12 . chapter 1
This is just too sweet! I've read something like this before: I think it was by Light-Echo-Sage? Anyway, really great!
My Disclaimer: Oh,thank goodness, you're back to normal!
Me: What do you mean?
Disclaimer: In the last fic you reviewed, you weren't your usual bubbly self.
Me:(shrugs)This fic was so great and sweet I guess it snapped me out of my rage.
Disclaimer:(groans)Yep,you're back.

I really enjoyed this.
insertwittyreferencehere 10/11/10 . chapter 1
awww, so sweet! I never really thought about that... with the 'lover's reincarnation' and all. But what about the Air Avatars, aren't the Air Nomads monks so they can't have a relationship? For that matter, isn't Aang a monk? But anyway, great idea! I can't believe Katara is reincarnated as a firebender! So cool!
DyingStar 6/3/09 . chapter 1

freestyle-spirit 5/20/08 . chapter 1
All I can say is wow, one of the best and more original ideas for Avatar fandom I have seen in a long time. I love the fact you actually took the time to bring a deeper meaning into this fic, and didn't spoil it with some long winded fic. I think the idea is perfect as it is. THis is now my No 1 fac Kataang fic. Thanks :)
Archer 4/3/08 . chapter 1
Me again, I checked my notes, (I keep track of things I think are neat or odd about shows) and I came across something rather...interisting, the Avater follows a cycle Air-Water-Earth-Fire, and going by the EXTREMLY limited info given about past Avatars, you were dead on in 1 aspect of this story, but off on another. It seems that every 3rd Avatar is female, Keyoshi was followed by Roku and Aang so the next in line would be a female waterbender, this caught my attention because (duh) Katara is a waterbender, so I went back and checked something, it has been confermed according to cannon that 2 previos Avatars were in fact married, even having children, now heres the cool part, 1 was a Earthbender (judging by his cloths) that persons lover was from the firenation, another Avatar was a firebender, that persons lover was from the Airnation (I might be wrong, my TV was experencing trouble with its color, but the persons eyes were gray) Looking at that it seems the Avatars lover is from whatever nation is next on the line Earth(Fire)Fire(Air)Air(Water) So going by that, the next avatar should be a female, whose lover is from the Earth Kingdom, As I said I could be wrong, and more than likly are since this is going by observations based on the persons clothing and eye color, but it does make a bit of sense. Even the bit about the 5th element being human, one of the previous avatars lover did infact have a sibiling, one that as far as can be told, was not a bender.

The only other bit of info I came across is for Sokka, he very well could be the reincarnation of Shu, so far in the series every girl he has shown intrest in has been forcable and quickly removed from his person, execpt for Toph, Yue died the week he met her reviving the moon god/godess, and Suki has been "removed" for now, were still waiting for an update on her. Also in one episode he was in the presence of several girls whom he had impressed, however he was thrown out of there presence before he got to speek to them for a dumb reason (I respect your dislike for spoilers) Another factor is that Shu was one of the two first earthbenders, halfway though book 3 Sokka becomes one of the only 2 people to have something noone else on earth does, the second person to have it was...Toph, he could ony share this gift with one person at the time, and rather than giving it to the person who helped him use it, or even giving it to the Avatar to help him, he gave it to Toph...a bit odd dont you think? Going back Oma and Shu were ther first earthbenders, Sokka and Toph are the first with this, (once again I respect your not wanting a spoiler). If I come across anything else that might be of use for this I'll post it. Farewell.
Archer 4/3/08 . chapter 1
Nice, I can see some merit to this, you said that you dont like spoilers, so Im not going into detail, but certian characters do have some rather interisting dreams latter in the series, not exactly proof of reincarnation of the avatars lover, just reincarnation in general. I could see this as spreading farther than just the avatar and his lover though. An interesting theroy I've had about the series is that the Avatar has no soul, well not one of his own anyway. Think about this, the Avatar is the human form of the 4 elements, and the mediem between this world and the spirit world, all this is said in the series. So if the Avatar is the 4 elements in human form, wouldnt it make sense if he was created from the souls of the 4 elements? Also people forget the 5th element Human. It could be that the Avatars 5 friends are the reincarnations of the first 4 benders, also most religions and even eveloution believes the first human was a male. These are just a few speculations based on some facts given by the show and major religions.

first element, and most important one is the Human element, this could be represented by Sokka, as he is not a bender, and the previous Avatars have always had nonbener friends.

first Earthbenders were 1 man and 1 woman tought by the badgermoles, Toph is (duh) a girl who was taught by the badgermoles and consently says she dosent need anyone (she had her heart broken the first time, so her reincarnated form is relucktent to have relationships.

one is only slightly spoilerish, One of the episodes in Book 3 was centered on Avatar Roku's past, Roku was very good friends with a member of the Firenation's Royal family, this shows that the Royal family of the Firenation is linked to the Avatar.

is a bit of a stretch, but it is well known that the water nation is more than just a little bit sexist, not allowing women to fight, this could be seen as being overprotective, I looked VERY closly at the statues in Book 1 episode 3, as far as I can tell there has NEVER been a femal avatar that started from the water tribes.

was the hardest for me to figure out, but it also made the most sense. Remeber in the 3rd episode of the series, the flashback with Monk Giesto (SP i know) Aang said he wasnt sure about him being the Avatar, mabie the Monks made a mistak, Giestos respons caught my attention, he said :The only mistake that was made was telling you before you turned 16. I had to think to myself, Why waite until 16? I would think that training as soon as possiable would be best, after all, look at aang, he may have mastered Air,Water and Earth, and a little fire in Book 3, but he relies on Air as a reflex because that was where he started. It has nothing to do with bending, its the Human factor, most of a persons friends are made when they are young, and 16 is about the age most people start thinking about dating, by people not knowing who the avatar is until after he/she turns 16 the friends they make will be based entirly on who they are as a person, not what they are (The Avatar)

Finaly Aang said in the first episode he had friends in every part of the world, including the fire nation, of course this was 100 years ago, but still, why would a 12 year old boy have friends in every cornor of the earth? As I said earlyer, I think the Avatar is made from the combination of 5 people, perhaps the avatar is taken around the world at a young age so that the 5 pieces that make him/her up will find eachother. It is believed that "soulmates" seek eachother out, because thay are 2 halfs of a whole, being what the Avatar is wouldnt it make sense that it would take more than 1 other person to carrie his/her soul? So why wouldnt the same basic princable be used, 6 people, 5 that make up the 1 be drawn together?

That is all, I hope that this can be of use to you, like you said this would be an exelent storyline, I enjoy putting my massive amout of (according to others) useless knowldge to work. The only other bit I will say is that i'm probibly the biggest Sokka/Toph fan on the net, going by the earier bit it would make sense, Sokka has natoriously bad luck, and Shu died without being able to see his lover again. Farewell, and I hope you can make use of this.
cruciolicous 2/25/08 . chapter 1

this just makes kataang even more epic.
Therese Delacoeur 2/9/08 . chapter 1
This was a beautiful story, and could totally be true. The future avatar and her verbal 'sparring' with her teacher was a great bit of humor. This was so well-written and well-thought out... And it's grammatically correct (as far as I can see ). My favorite metaphor you used must've been "Bittersweet and painful, as if she were choking on a sharp piece of her favorite candy."

Wonderful. Therese
