I think it would be difrent #1 Voldi wouldnt know about the profasy so he wouldnt try and kill the Potters (also if you ever do make a story like that you make them widowers or widows it feels better if they dont get marryed after.) Frank and Alice Longbottem would still be sane and Voldi would be off his rocker when he dies and there shall be confusion abounds when the Deatheaters see it

i can just see McGonagall doing exactly that. Since the Ministry suppresses prophecies and Dumbledore is incapable of actually doing something worthwhile, the war would just drag on and on until either Voldemort won or someone finally got lucky and killed the dark tosser.

I liked it. It's not like Dumbledore could do everything himself, that's why McGonagall is deputy headmistress :)

Cute fic. I can't decide which I enjoyed more; McGonagall completely dismissing Trelawny or yanking Snape around by the ear. All in all a very enjoyable story.

Mildly amusing, thanks.

This would have been a perfect opportunity for Minerva to ask why, in the hell, a job interview was being given in a flop-house room.

It wasn't even a luncheon interview and those are seldom the first interview, anyway.

The story is to short to leave a long review, but I love the idea. The characterization of Minerva is perfect!

can you please do a little intro for the story as well? so we actually know what is Ripples in the Lake? also, post this in your profile, since it is not related to the story.

Rockgod's take is quite interesting. I have read what he has so far and I like the writing.

I would like to see someone take your base idea a little differently. McGonagal hears the prophecy and dismisses Sybil as a fraud. Harry defeats Voldemort without the prophecy being known to any but McGonagal (maybe she puts a privacy barrier up on the first words spoken or something). Now McGonagal recalls the prophecy and considers that it may be true.

I suppose the "Harry Mc Gonagal" story is close to that.
