Patriot-112 2009-12-16 . chapter 5I've havent read the whole story yet but this is getting good. You did a good with the last story and this one is equally good. I hope you make a new one soon!! Have a GREAT Merry Christmas!! Sayonara! |
nick2951 2009-11-23 . chapter 51Epic ending man; bloddy and epic.
Reading on how the WMDs were being thrown around was very cool. It greatly added to the grittiest of the chapter and portrayed the realism of war being hell. You spared no expense here.
No one got away unscathed in this ending. Both Jolie and Minerva have lost so much that I don't think they'll ever be okay. Its a shame that Jolie could not keep her promise to Jonah and I feel that will huant her for years to come.
Speaking of Alexander, he went down swinging here. I think he had exceeded every Gundam villian out there on his pure brutality in war. He will be missed though a greater evil always replaces the previous evil.
It seems that the Republic comes out on top here with the Federation possibly taking years to recover. However there are already thorns in the Republic's leadership and I have no doubt that they will be an issue later on. I also feel that sooner or later the Fed and Republic will be at odds.
It will be interesting to see if Minerva can ignore her roots; but I feel that the Zabi in her will surface in a big way.
Alexander may be gone but the sister still remains; I wonder what trouble she'll cause for part 3?
Awsome second part and I am looking really forward to the 3rd part of your trilogy next year. Its a long time to wait but it will be worth it.
Until then! |
Peloponnese 2009-11-23 . chapter 51This chapter was everything you promised it would be. It was a great finish. Looking forward to the next installment.

Peloponnese 2009-10-12 . chapter 50Not bad. I did like this battle more than those in previous chapters, though I can't really say why. Perhaps it was just the larger scale?
However, I'm a little confused about the conclusion of this story. Did Shambala manage to get its hands on either of the cannons? I know it did its best to damage them, and there was a huge hole blown in the side of that last one. I also know that the command ship was turned to slag, so I'm assuming that Zeon couldn't fire them off even if they had the opportunity. But I'm not sure if Shambala or the United Forces in general physically took possession of them. Did I just not look hard enough?

nick2951 2009-10-12 . chapter 50I think this chapter tops every other chapter I have read thus far and thats all I can say.
Update soon! |
 GaiaCleaver 2009-08-18 . chapter 49...Wow.
So, uh, mandatory trouble aside, Kyoko's killed with laughable ease in the end and the aggrandized colony laser amounts to nothing, disabled in a simple in-out routine.
This is bullshit. |
Peloponnese 2009-08-15 . chapter 49I really don't know what to think about this one, except that I found it ridiculously easy to turn the solar ray cannons aside (I don't remember what you named them). You made a big deal about how Jonah's forces were having a massively difficult time holding the armada back, but never really explained in any more detail than that; there were not even instances where we learn of any Federation losses during this battle. Then Minerva "sneaks" by (I say that because I'm wondering how easy that would be to do, considering the high priority of the target), pops off a few shots and the battle's over; Zeon defeated. I would hope their defenses could stand up to more than that.
Yes, I understand that the battle was secondary to the duel on Solomon (I'm still not sure exactly what scale of time and distance you're using; where were the Federation forces parked before the fight, anyway?), but I would think that it would be kind of important to detail how an entire colony cluster was saved from destruction. Can we have a real fight soon, please?

nick2951 2009-08-14 . chapter 49I have a feeling that millions will suffer for what Jolie did; I hope she understands that because I have a feeling that Alexander will make her understand.
Awsome Duel, update soon! |
Yoshiyuki Tomino 2009-07-11 . chapter 2Let's see, after reading through this fic I have to say wow, and not a good kind of wow, as in wow that's awesome either. Your main character on the good guys side is way too super powered, there is no situation she can't instantly change or make easier simply by mere presence alone. Your writing style could also use a little work. Everything is done so robitically it makes it had to for me to read this fic. I actually had to grind through it but I felt you deserve a fair review based on more then a single chapter. Your writing style makes it hard to feel anything for the characters because you go into almost zero detail about their actions. It's sort of like you're describing what's going on in a TV show, but that in and of itself is no good because you're writing a fan fic. There's not pictures or animation to get the point across so using the bare minimum in terms of description doesn't help paint the picture you're going for. You also don't really internalize with any of the characters. Which gets sort of frustrating because words and actions along don't necessarily express the depth of a person's character. Letting us know what they're thinking while something is going on could be very useful, but you never actually do anything with that tool. I'll use an expert from the first chapter to show you what i mean when I say ther descriptions are robotic. "Jonah is a pacifist. Violence disgusts him to the pit of his stomach, and presently, he feels very, very sick. Jonah begins to realize, however, that violence unchecked and unanswered will lead to greater violence." Why not instead of just telling us this don't you show it by going in depth with Jonah's own reaction. Showing what he's internalizing as he feels sick, or telling us with more detail how hes' crouched over about to vomit. Something like that? Instead too many times we get these robotic bits of story telling where you just summarize what's happening.. And this latest chapter, with Kyoko and Jolie... Why would Jolie even begin to feel better about her daughters death just because Kyoko remembered? Better yet, why would Kyoko feel remorseful she's supposed to be a bad guy. Justifying the killing of innocents for those she loves should be no problem for her. this may just be a bit nit-picky now but, you could also do some better work with the naming Like, White Pheonix Gundam? When has UC ever named a mecha so extragently? Like no one says F-91 Gundam, they just call it the F-91. And it's not just limited to the mecha either, Alexander Miguel? It's just not a good name there's no flow to it, it's just kinda like you threw first names into a hat, and then picked two out and lumped them together to make a character name. |
Peloponnese 2009-06-23 . chapter 48Although I like this story, I'm not sure that you looked at a map of the Earth Sphere before writing this chapter. The last I knew, Solomon (which the Federation had taken control of and renamed Konpei Island after the Battle of Solomon in 0079) remained at L5. Side 3 is at L2. If, as you say, these solar cannons are within the area of "the Side 3 Zone"(L2), then any battle that takes place in the vicinity of those cannons cannot possibly extend to Solomon (Konpei Island) at L5. For easy access to a Gundam Earth Sphere map, I suggest .
Other than that, it was a very good chapter. I'm looking forward to more.

nick2951 2009-06-23 . chapter 48Looking forward to that fated Dual!
Things are getting intense with the WMDs being thrown around. Minerva might win this war, but she will lose quite a lot in the end. Update soon! |
GaiaCleaver 2009-06-15 . chapter 47Er...well. I'm not one to judge, but...honestly, this conflict has become something rather farcical. This aggrandized Archduchy, said to be monstrously powerful, is defeated at every turn conceivable by what essentially amounts to a handful of plucky warriors in a fledgling republic and a woman piloting a truly unbelievably overpowered mechanical...demon, really, of a machine. I don't jest, either- interventions by Jolie somehow manage to turn the tide of every single battle or, if the tide doesn't need to be turned, they make skirmishes even more easier to win than they already are.
Simply, upon reading this, I've wondered- what chance does the Archduchy have? Or, rather, what chance did it ever have? Thanks to the repeated interferences of the godly, nigh-untouchable White Phoenix and its baffling array of armaments, combined with Jolie's stupefyingly powerful Newtype abilities which just flat-out confuse me (incinerating an entire army, much?), this incarnation of Zeon has been reduced to something of a joke. Oh, indeed, they got their moment when the colonies fell and millions, billions were massacred, but even before and after then, they've just proven themselves to be utterly inferior, suffering setback after setback. Again, it's mainly because of Jolie and the ultimately invincible forces that she and Athena lead- no-one can touch them, even Zeon's purported 'best', who might as well be mook pilots with names since they're taken down so blindingly fast. Ryoko, Jolie's apparent designated rival, can't even scratch her- I suppose the Gamma Azieru was a useless upgrade. Even the exalted Alexander Miguel can't even land a hit on her, and his leadership abilities are proven to be useless in the face of the ever-victorious protagonists. Whatever happened to Zeonic folk that were somewhat competent and, you know, able to remotely scratch the heroes? Like the Blackbirds? One Shot?
In summation, in the face of such overwhelming power, why should Zeon bother? They've suffered loss after loss, had entire fleets obliterated, they've lost about one to two thirds of their entire space armada, and have lost about every 'good' pilot they have except two who can't even land a blow on the invulnerable heroine. Maybe Miguel should just deploy his array of Solar Ray cannons in a vain attempt to kill everyone, which will no doubt be thwarted by something new the White Phoenix pulls out of hammerspace. Oh, and speaking of killing everyone, there's this issue- just about every named Zeon person has bit the dust. On the side of the Feddies/Shambala Republic? The Desert Dogs and Ino and Mondo, the latter two getting themselves killed out of mind-numbing stupidity. Quite the disparity. |
Peloponnese 2009-05-27 . chapter 47I'm very glad to see the latest chapter in this story. I'm wondering, though, at the massive ground that Shambala has gained in the last few chapters. It seems that the first great victory was won by Zeon, which then sat back and let the enemy take as much as it wanted out of the remaining territory in the Earth Sphere--despite the fact that Zeon and Earth are probably at about equal strength, since the Federation lost so many people during the colony drops. It doesn't seem that Zeon has much to look forward to, if this is the quality of their defenses. |
nick2951 2009-05-27 . chapter 47They say that Pride goes beforeth a fall; I have a big feeling that Minerva and Sayla will soon learn this.
As for Side 6; the Shambala Republic is growing, but corruption comes with any new Government and nation. I wonder what corruption will befall the Republic.
Awsome chapter and looking forward to the next; it was good to see Cameran again.
Update soon and God Bless the Earth Federation! |
nick2951 2009-05-09 . chapter 46Excellent chapter; actually liked the tidbit at the end between Kyoko and Alexander- can't be completely evil can we? As for Jolie, she needs to get knocked upside the head; I understand her feelings but get over it.
Update soon! |
