You captured Frederick's emotions very nicely. I especially love the last few paragraphs and how he found those stack of letters - such a heart squeeze.

This is beautiful - it made me cry, actually! Please, keep writing. I wouldn't say continue this - it's a wonderful one-shot - but you certainly have skills here and it'd be great to see them applied to more Austen fanfic :)

i only watched the ITV adaptation yesterday and you're so right, Rupert Penry-Jones certainly did not make me sory- he was great as Wentworth ;)
are you going to write any more scenes from his pov? You captured his character really well in this one, i hope you decide to write another =)

Great job! I love the idea of this story...Wentworth finding his old letters and the ring...! I just had to squee with delight! Persuasion is my fave Austen book as well and you did a great one-shot. I def see the Rupert Wentworth here, but that's just fine with me too. :D

Thanks it was great! you should think of doing a little more, like the Musgrove supper, or what the Capitan was thinking while Anne and Harvel were talking about poetry what ever lol

like you i was inspired by watching the masterpiece theater version of persuasion (having not read the book yet i will be fixing that mistake quickly) i really enjoyed the film. i came here on a lark to see if there were any persuasion stories and i came across your absolutely amazing telling of captain wentworth at kellynch hall. i must say that this glimpse to the other side has left me wanting more. i do hope that you continue to write such wonderful stories as this one. you write captain wentworth's view with great detail and care i hope that this is not the last we will see...
