Okay, time for the official full review for Half Moon. I'll start out with the quibbles first:

As mentioned by others, the scenario was pretty predictable when Yumeko met Emi. Also, the 3K tie-in's were odd in the sense that they haven't been published yet. I'm still of the mind that Yume's more widely known in Japan and especially Tokyo than is represented in the fic. Lastly the flashbacks to rehab had some purpose, but I feel could have been more closely worked into the storyline for HM. If not already in the works, there may be an opportunity to flesh them out a bit more in aDD.

Now for the good: Emi's character development was entertaining and fun to follow. And just because the beginning was predictable didn't mean the rest was, especially in Ch 4. The plotline did flow very nicely. I did like the single 1st person usage here instead of dual 1st person. Yumeko and Priss' relationship turns were also very well drawn out here. The ending was sad but fulfilling. It had to be that way and the readers understand why. Doesn't make Yume's life any easier though, does it? ;)

Now for the excellent: I do enjoy dark fics. Half Moon certainly qualifies... if only for Ch 4 alone. Yumeko's ongoing internal battles won't get much easier in the near future based on what took place in Half Moon. The way that Yumeko's relationship with Emi progresses through the story was very well done, IMO. Also, because I loved FTA so much I certainly enjoyed Xania's cameo appearances.

All in all, I'll give it a 4 of 5, only because of the quibbles listed above. But certain parts of this story are going to stick with me for a long, long time... of that I am most certain. Very well done Amanda and I will be looking forward to A Deviant's Days in the near future.

Okay, now I've seen the Dark side of this Half Moon. Wow. Nothing like adding a little bit more of emotional scarring to Yumeko's ever growing collection.

That was impressive. And now I have to sleep. More tomorrow for sure. ^_^

Well, you did mention some dark moments. Wasn't expecting that Priss/Yume thing to be that bitter though.

Think you've filled in the spots on the Craig questions though. Really wishing 3K was done now. XP

Okay, ch 1 down and I have more questions than answers... (most of which I've already asked) XD

Interesting little plot you've got started. I am still curious about one thing... did Yumeko tell any of the sabers of her timeline about the 3K stuff? I'm guessing not, but hiding a little thing like falling in love with someone and having their picture with her might be a bit hard to hide among other things.

I've read every single chapter of this series and I must say that I am quite impressed. While I can tell that Priss is great with kids, I could never imagine her to be a mother. And like my friend Starscream, I doubt she would allow herself to be raped. But then again, this is your story, your way of telling it. I love your character and I can definitely imagine the hell she goes through just because she's following her mother's footsteps in being a Knight Saber.

I look forward to any future stories and can't help but wonder if you plan to add any new characters to the next generation of Knight Sabers besides Yumeko.

this a great way to wrap up a story, i'm a little sad that emi died but she did it for the greater good and she knew it, great work. On a different note do you know when the three knights story is going to be updated? Thanks

I just now finally caught up with all of your Yumeko stories, and I like what I see. Still a bit confusing at times switching between Priss and Yumeko, but it gets natural once I started digging in through the chapters.

How come I get the feeling that the UNSC didn't heed Sylia's warning to "Next time, try a dog" from WAY back when and now we've got another black box 'child' boomer.

I didn't think you'd post this story so soon, you never posted a preview of your upcoming stories...till now, that is.

Well, I really hope you'll be able to finish this story soon, it's really hard to find good BGC fan fiction these days...unfortunately.

(And I still have a certain suspicion concerning Emi's origin...)
