Your description of the wire..."deadly, silent sister of a whip"...THAT is what I call effective imagery.

So few FF8 fanfics take the time to consider the fact that these characters are basically all teenage killers. I love how you've presented this concept and still managed to leave Irvine and Quistis with a strange sort of 'killer kinship'. And the fact that they still FEEL is just...wow.

ooh, very very good. Quistis and Irvine are my two fav chars, and I love the way you had them interact here, it seemed very realistic.

I was recced here from Enkida, and I absolutely love this. I love the little glimpse into Irvine's personality here, and how confused he's feeling; and how Quistis is the one looking to relax her nerves with alcohol.

Also:

"He didn't think he'd been honed enough quite yet to be the kind of weapon they needed him to be."

This line made me die a little inside.

i havnt read this story cuz im not a final fantasy person but im using this opportunity to tell you just how much i love Heart Over Mind...i read it at the time when you were finishing writing it and i absolutely fell in love with it...then these past couple of days, snippets of the story just kept haunting me and i felt myself smiling as i remembered my favorite parts...so i went back and re-read the whole thing this past weekend...its such a work of art...and although im sure i must have left a review when you were actively updating, i would like to congratulate you once more on such a beautiful piece of writing!...i must admit that i do have a slight ulterior motive as a i write this review ::smirks slyly::...do you have any other hauntingly beautiful hermione/snapes in the works for hopeless romantics like me? =)
