Amedia 2008-03-07 . chapter 1 This is chilling and plausible - I can see each of the characters having these exact nightmares.
I liked that DG's nightmare incorporated her guilt for everything that happened since the cave, and for what the other characters suffered as a result (at least Ambrose).
Cain's nightmare might have been the easiest and most obvious (back in the metal coffin); I liked the way you expanded it. (Or perhaps, to be more accurate, I was thoroughly creeped out by the way you expanded it - but it was well done.)
Ambrose's was the most effectively chilling, I thought, especially with his being put on the throne as a straw man (as happened in the first book). Seeing the Queen undergoing an extreme version of what was done to him made me think of his plea to her just before they took him away - it's as if his subconscious is punishing her because she couldn't help him.
Azkadellia's is another one that's extremely plausible; I like your interpretation of her character. I think you have a typo in the second paragraph "But it does not need the seeds weren't there" - should that be "does not MEAN"?
What's extremely cool about Raw's nightmare is that it might or might not even BE a nightmare. It could be that he's dreaming that they're all in pain and he can't help them - or it could be that he happens to be awake and is aware of all their nightmares. *shiver*
I also liked the color-coding; it was another reminder of the books. |
