Lovely story! I know you haven't updated in almost a year, but I do hope you consider updating sometime in the future.

Very well written and original take on things, not enough was spent in the books by the adults looking into or fixing the abuse of Harry until end of book 5/beginning of 6. Your character interactions and motivations are really psychologically intriguing. Thank you for sharing with us I hope you have time to update and continue this story.

I really like this fic so far. Snape's characterization is very well done - full of thoughts and sparse on speech. The Dursleys are very believable as well; I particularly like Dudley's improved behavior toward Harry - it was obvious that he felt some kind of gratitude toward his cousin. Here's to hoping that Hermione won't give in to the Dark - she always did have it in her. Great fic! I hope to see it updated at some point.

This is very wonderful. I actually find myself glad that the story doesn't focus overly on Harry and more on Severus and Hermione, as well as that the Dursley's returning home wasn't totally disastrous. Very interesting look at the end of the war, and I've never seen anything like it. Thank you for posting, and very well done.

I loved this FF, spent my morning reading it. Your Severus is doing all those things many people may call OOC (I don't really think I would though) and yet, is so very much in character.

I was very glad to see an update from you. This is one of your best chapters yet! I really liked the interplay between Snape and Hermione concerning the hold of dark magic.

How sad that Severus should describe himself as "damned." He just doesn't get it. The old saying, "the damned don't cry," is true. They also don't sacrifice their lives to save people either. Those who are truly on the path to damnation seem to want to take as many people along with them as possible. Snape wants to turn them the right way. He is BLESSED. He just doesn't recognize it yet.

I love it when writers throw some real science into magic, showing the commonalities between magic and science.

Snape doesn't give himself much credit for feeling compassionate, does he. He did exactly the right thing and helped Hermione to make a better decision.

I'm hoping that he doesn't find a Dark spell to use. He's damaged himself enough already that he considers himself damned. He deserves better than that.
