I like the approach and the lead in, well-written. You might want to change it slightly so that it is the journal of two or three different characters, just for a touch of "artistic consistency".

History has always been one of my favorites. And it's great that I can find a story like this, that also has historical events in it. Historical fiction. I wish there was more of it. Please continue the story.

I like your mixture of WWII history with the WB comic and tv show. It was very interesting and I liked the parallels you've drawn between the past incarnations of Jake, Sara and Ian with present day ones. I hope you can find the time to write more for this fic, its really quite good.
