So dark, so stark, very effective. It fits in with Mick's overall view of vampirism, and how lost he was before he found his calling. Very done.

You did a really good job of setting up the scene: Mick's bleak existence, his stormy relationship with Coraline, the flavor of the jazz, the drug use, everything. The ending was ambigious, left me thinking. It's a unique addition to a rich fanfic section.
