142010 2009-11-26 . chapter 18I've really enjoyed this fic so far. I think it's very true to all the characters. I hope this story is not abandoned. |
E.V. 2009-03-20 . chapter 18 Keep writing! The delay is killing me. This is,in my opinion, one of the best Avatar rewrites on so keep I coming! I, your dedicated reader, am faithfully waiting. don't worry about plot bumps, if you update we'll forgive u |
Skedaddle-San 2009-02-09 . chapter 18I believe in Page breaks...! *tear*
Incredible work so far, i sense effort! :P Although it's scaring me somehow... Seems TOO modern! @.@
-Sked-San-san. Small talk is big talk because i don't really see the difference... |
Kindra Mckleen 2008-11-26 . chapter 18I really like your story1 You build up suspence so well that I can't stand having to wait for the next chapter. Keep it up!! |
MoonClaimed 2008-11-19 . chapter 18E! The Awesome! It's overpowering, Captain!
...Right. As you can probably tell I really didn't know what to say, but this is great, very original too. I can't wait for the next chapter! |
claymade 2008-11-09 . chapter 18Oh dear. So Aang doesn't even REMEMBER the warning from Gyatso. That's pretty unfortunate for him. I don't suppose that Azula has similarly forgotten about him...? *sighs* Oh dear, oh dear, this probably won't turn out well.
Anyway, it's great to see another update, and to see Toph back into the picture as well. And of course, very good to see that Katara and Zuko's relationship is every bit as peaceful, calm and non-rocky as it was in canon.
This seems to be mostly a connecting chapter, settling Zuko into their household whilst building up for the elements to come later, with the specter of Azula looming on the horizon. You put that interlude in just the right place, methinks to give a filler chapter a nice sense of tension regardless.
Now, just looking forward to seeing things progress to where that tension is unleashed upon the unsuspecting main characters... Muahahahaha... |
Akatsuki Feathers 2008-11-08 . chapter 18Ah, it's been a while since I last reviewed this.
So very sorry about that!
I'm still very curious to see if Katara and Toph will have bending abilities and what they would be.
Aww, Zuko's a part of the family now! How sweet.
Oh, and:
Gyatso, no! I hope he'll be okay! |
 RueBroadway 2008-11-04 . chapter 18Great chapter!!
Aang is so adorable, being the peace keeper in the house. I can't help but love him.
This tension in the household is so interesting. I keep wondering if Zuko and Katara's outbursts will shake the balance in the rest of the group.
I love Zuko's apparent fear/respect for GranGran. It's warming to know that someone (besides Aang) cares for the well being of this homeless teen. Her silent glares are also hilarious! I am curios to see where Zuko's inquiries into Hakoda's past will go. It was a bit funny to know that Aang picked up that there was something behind those questions (again, gotta love him!!).
-P.S-I love the little details in this chapter. Jin and Zuko's /now/ ironed uniform, the ashtray on the back porch, the "man time" Sokka and Zuko spend watching tv; this chapter flowed really well :o) |
Leathe 2008-11-04 . chapter 18Awesome, again. This chapter was awesome, to put it simply. Now we have everything we need for some explosive conflict with Zuko and anything else that breaths. I really love reading your fic, and you are able to keep them all in line and whatnot, and Toph. Toph is awesome. Of course, whatever Zuko did had to involve Katara's mom. xD That was bound to happen, wasn't it? |
Lee Pyro 2008-11-03 . chapter 18Very nice. I liked Toph's reaction. It was very in character for her. =) Thanks for posting. Keep writing. |
Lee Pyro 2008-10-17 . chapter 17Woah, that was awesome. I like the attention to details. Good work. Update soon. Keep writing. |
Leathe 2008-10-06 . chapter 17Oh unholy crapwads! This has to be the single weirdest Avatar fanfiction I have ever read. It's like a mix between Avatar and Maximum Ride. I've never read the book that you apparently got this from, so it's all new to me, and God is it awesome in an awkward if not somewhat confusing way. I love your take on pretty much everything, and I do hope you keep pumping out the love. Kanna's opinion on any strange behavior is totally win. Constipation is the root of all things evil, you know. |
RueBroadway 2008-09-11 . chapter 17I am so happy that Gyatso is alive...I'm hoping that he will stay that way...
Loved the gang-up on Zuko, letting/forcing him to stay. I'm wondering if Zuko rememer Hakoda from his childhood, or if that was something he's forgotten.
Azula...evil thing... |
claymade 2008-09-04 . chapter 17Hahahaha... For a second I thought you'd thrown an OC at us, before realizing who "Manfred" really was. That was a nasty trick that the Avatar writers played on fanfiction writers, never revealing his actually name, and forcing us to either make up a million different alternate versions, or else somehow contrive to keep referring to him as "Sparky-sparky-boom Man" like they did in the show. But I think it worked well here, and even allows for a "modern" name, which has an interesting effect.
I think you nailed Azula quite well, and the whole business of Aang taking over her mind momentarily--as the reader gradually realizes what's going on--was great. Quite the ominous foreboding at the end there... It's very good that you're keeping the overall plot moving--keeping the tension and the conflict up, and going somewhere. Good stuff. |
claymade 2008-09-04 . chapter 16Dun dun dun... And Azula makes her reappearance. Sorry about the delay reviewing; things got a little hectic and confused.
A good chapter, cementing Zuko's stay with the Water Tribe family. His reaction to the "forced hospitality" was nicely done.
And thank you for the public service message; very timely and appropriate. I was JUST considering using drugs to help in my own sleeping--but thanks to your fic I now realize that doing so could inadvertently expose my mind to evil, psychotic lightning benders. So thank you for keeping me on the path of righteousness. :-) |
