i love the part where edmund says "you can't." i just really find that funny. it's a great oneshot, though.

I love the way you write Peter and Ed's relationship. It's just so brotherly, and incharacter of them to act like that toward each other I think. I loved this one-shot, I always thought it must have been very hard for Peter especially to go back to Narnia and see everything that happened and know that he was no longer able to rule. Good job! =)

I never thought about how hard it would be for Peter to turn his authority over to a complete stranger! Well written!

Your characterizations of Edmund and Peter are perfect. And their reactions to the gravity of what Peter had to do were spot on as well.

*dramatic sigh* Wonderful story, as always. Still I'm bummed, I really was hoping the Peter Ed talk about Jadis would have happened in the golden age stories. Saw some of the tellings from the birds, these ones I had understood. Still trying to figare out the 'horror' for Ed though.

Wow... I'm speechless. I'm not sure how I missed this story considering I make a goal to read every story you post, but I'm glad I found it. The story was fantastic. I truly wish something at all similar to this was in the movie.

You write the characters so perfectly. Trumpkin was spot on, and I loved your version of Caspian. He was much more endearing and interesting in your story. And I must say, Your characters are for more likable than the movie characters. I love everything about it.

I'm not sure if I can express how completely incredible your writing is to me. Though I will say in simple terms, your story is "beautiful." You never cease to amaze me in creativity, originality, and just everything you write. I applaud you for doing what so many others strive, but fail to do! Bravo!

I've thought before that for the Pevensies having to come back to place that you once ruled and having to had it over to someone you barely know would be hard. I loved how you showed this. It was hard for Peter and yet it was right and he was able to be ok with it.
I also loved the way that Peter and Edmund interact through the silent exchanges (the passing of command especially) and how Ed was able to read Peter and help him through this.

Absolutely amazing. I'm not an avid reader of the Chronicles of Narnia - I've only read a few books so far, and intend to complete them all IN ORDER at some point in the future, although I HAVE watched the entire BBC televisations - but I'm simply breathtaken by the spirituality and amount of EMOTION in the entire piece. Just reading it made me feel DIFFERENT inside, as though... as though I could tell that something was missing - maybe it just means that I ought to hurry up and meet that goal of completing the series, or maybe it's something else, but whatever it is, it's made me love and appreciate this story so much more. Thank you for such a great read. This is going into my c2; it's just that damn good.
