a caboose is also slightly different from a 'Guard's Van' though they serve similar purposes in both cases, at least from memory, they have a secondary break control for the whole train, on freight trains tended to carry armed guards back when trains were slow enough for bandits and the like to be a problem, and on passenger trains often carry the larger items of baggage. the main difference, from memory, was in size and design.
nice to see another chapter of this fic... i just found it again when going through my fav/alert list [i can't remember which] and started at the beginning once more. that was yesterday, today, new chapter. that rates a 'Yay!
think you need to take a look into the idea of pronouns though. few paragraphs start off[persons name[did thing]. [same person's name[did thing]. [same person's name[description or something like that. conjunctions also help if you want to cut down on the number of pronouns without killing the flow like that.
but yeah, 'tis a good fic. insert an expression of anticipation regarding it's continuation here.

Nice work xD!, i read more or less some parts of the chapters and the little "Tomo Yomi" story is very funny and touching xDD! Tomo is my favourite character fo the series and her interaction with Yomi is a good plot(i always imagine Tomo has that senstive side in the very bottom of hers, very well adapted xD), ok i really enjoy a re-encounter of the "Bonklers" team xD!

P.S Did you know in another manga (i forgot who), Sakaki actually becomes a philosopher and Kagura an anthropologist!
