"It’s a feeling like waking up and running to the beach; having a place. It’s a feeling that makes old photographs seem like just days ago."

Oh, /Riku/.

This piece is beautifully heart-wrenching. It tugged at my heartstrings. Riku has always seemed like a third wheel where Sora and Kairi are concerned, and "city without the lights" picks up on that note and emphasizes it and gives it so much meaning. The words feel so /real/. This isn't just text gracefully sprawled across a white backdrop. This is pure poetry, pure art.

The way this is written, I can understand -- sort of, and only that, for nothing can mimic truly knowing the feelings -- how Riku feels.

This is lovely. I commend you for writing such a wonderful piece.

The ending was probably what got me the most. The words sound so terribly lonely. I can almost picture a forlorn Riku saying that, choking out those words like they're the last words he can possibly muster.

This piece nearly sent shivers down my spine. So much emotion is displayed within a small amount of words.
The depressing tone is somewhat inevitable. Although it's sort of desperate of him to ruin the picture, one can't help but feel sympathy for his situation. With time, everything changes, even the trio's relationship. I feel so bad for Riku. It's like he's practically reduced to a third-wheel to Sora and Kairi.

The way that you can put SO MUCH emotion into so little space will neverseize to amaze me. This is the best Riku I've ever read so far, and I feel so stupid in admitting that I never realized this before; as if he wasn't already outside, well, let's create this itty-bitty drawing in our little corner of the Secret Place and lock the door on him. He's only the shadow, after all, the third wheel, the afterthought.

I'm exaggerating, I know. But. as far as I'm concerned, they did lock Riku out of their little world, and the poor boy is only destined for more and more and more loneliness...

Don't worry, we still love you.

Thank you SO MUCH for writing this. It is... BEAUTIFUL.

Riku is so sad. :(

I liked it though. Short and sweet. No complaints here!

Oh, evil Riku, ruining their picture! :< Oh, but poor Riku, feeling bad enough to ruin their picture! It's like...I can't be mad at him because I feel so sorry for him. I just want to reach out and hug him and say, "I know what you've been through, I understand...and don't feel so horrible." You just provoke that emotion in your writing!

My fave line of the piece: I wondered why there were shooting stars between your smiles.

Subtle, brilliant, brilliant x a million.

I haven't read your stories in a while, I forgot how much I adored them.

I simply love this: the first-person perspective and the stream of thought feel to it.

I'd also forgotten how much I adored Riku.

It was of course beautiful.

In a way, I connected with Riku, I understood him (in a way). It was very insightful, intresting. In fact, I started crying. Amazingly your writing makes me cry. XDD

It's just so beautiful and it helps me understand the characters so much better. It's truly magic.

I hope you update soon.

For whatever reason, this really got to me. Struck a chord, hit a nerve, pick any phrase you'd like. There is just a certain something about the last two lines, as simple as they are, that makes me want to cry. Then again, maybe it's because they're so simple. The entire piece is wonderfully real and raw and human, but without the melodramatic teenage angst. That something helps me identify with this side of Riku [that I have admittedly never seen before, not being a usual reader of Riku-centered fanfiction]. It's refreshing, somehow. :)
