Chance2 2008-10-27 . chapter 9Wow...just, wow. That was an amazing story - well-written and beautiful. Thank you for sharing it. :) |
Paulabookworm 2008-10-11 . chapter 9 How very Peterish - "more important things to deal with" - and I liked Susan's repeat of the "some man in a red suit" line - although I suppose she had to give up saying it after a while. I love the idea of the earth being healed by Aslan's breath and the trees singing to Aslan - it reminds me of the bit in the Magician's Nephew where Aslan sings it all into existance at the beginning. I'm really looking forward to the Coronation too - and maybe Edmund meeting up with the Fox? I've always felt sad for Edmund (as well as the fox): he's just trying to help but has to see the fox get frozen. And poor Beaver was so cut up when they found Badger frozen too - it's cool that he'll get to see his friend again. I'll be watching...Thanks for writing this - I've loved it. Paula |
Paulabookworm 2008-10-11 . chapter 8 "I guess a choir would have been a bit much" - fabulous! So Edmund-like to find death a bit disappointing..His last words (so to speak) are perfect though. And I like the way he thought about Oreius too (even General Oreius himself). You've made Ginnarbrik even more foul than he was in the film - he's a really evil piece of work, which just makes me even more pleased that Susan shoots him. Lovely chapter. Paula |
laily7420 2008-10-05 . chapter 9I've been waiting for a new chapter for so long, and its worth it.Not many authors have stories about what happened right after Beruna.Great chapter! |
Faithfulpurelight 2008-10-03 . chapter 9Jez!
Im sorry it's taken so long for me to review. I just read it, since college is actually destorying me *winks*. But good my friend what a chapter it is! I love it, and I think that Peter and Ed's part was wonderously done.
Funny of that nasty faun to lord his forgivness above Edmund's head. He is a child, where as Tumnus was not. I've never liked Tumnus though, I truely despise him.
You owe me nothing, I was more than glad to help.
all my love,
Kay |
Autumnia 2008-10-02 . chapter 9This has been a delightful story to read. I've enjoyed all the chapters and think you wrote everyone beautifully. |
KCS 2008-10-02 . chapter 9Heck, that was more than worth the wait. And you wrote this despite writer's block? Sheesh, I should have that problem... :)
It really was lovely, and filled in so many holes both Lewis and Disney left out. I always wondered why no one was shown giving Peter any TLC after he got stabbed in the movie, and your filling that gap in was masterly.
This line, especially: “Some man in a red suit gives him a sword and shield,” she said, her voice showing less anger than her eyes, “and he thinks he's St. George. I'll get the healers.” -- cracked me up - it was just too perfect!
I have to say, I understand Tumnus's bitterness, but when you come down to it betrayal is betrayal, whether the actual act was committed only in mind or in body. Just because the Faun repented of the thing at the last second doesn't make him any less guilty of the spirit of the law at least, if not the letter.
But just my opinion, and perhaps I'm a bit biased because I love Ed so much. :D
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say it was the most enjoyable way to spend twenty minutes that I've had in quite some time - and just when I needed it today, too. Thanks very much.
*re-reads AN* WHAT? Only one more chapter? *cries* |
elecktrum 2008-10-02 . chapter 9The three conversations in this were each brilliant in their own way. So much was revealed about the characters by their words and actions - Peter's caring, protective nature, Tumnus' bitterness and stiff-necked determination to be hurt, Aslan's absolute love.
Aslan breathing upon Narnia to heal it and the victims of the Witch was such a beautiful moment, and the conversation that followed was just as beautiful and mysterious, yet wonderfully comforting. Edmund's determination to repair and restore both Narnia and himself had me smiling because I can exactly picture the moment and the resolved look on his face.
Only one more chapter? Damn. |
min23 2008-10-02 . chapter 9I am really enjoying you ngrats on the latest update - I love the interaction between Aslan and Edmund. Looking forward to another update soon.

Siriusly Loopy 2008-10-01 . chapter 9Aw. Poor Eddie! |
ilysia 2008-10-01 . chapter 9Well, you may take your time between updates but your chapters certainly make up in length what they lack in frequency. *grins* I really liked this chapter- the mood changes from happy to upset to nervous were very natural, all with a thread of wisdom running through them. Your joking Squirrels made me smile, for it was a very Narnian thing to write. And Aslan! |
Scooby Lady 2008-10-01 . chapter 9Awsome fic, I loved it and still do. I first found this fic a few months ago but, sort of lost interest when it wasn't updated. I got an account on and couldn't remember the title of the fic nor the author. So glad I finally found it at last. You did a great job on this, you described Edmund's personality and thoughts so well. I can't wait for the next chapter- please don't take to long updating it its really good and I like to know what happens next. |
Maelstra 2008-10-01 . chapter 9Well, I thought this chapter came across as quite sincere and well-written, so I think it was worth all the efforts you put into it. I can relate to uncooperative chapters. :)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the conclusion of this story. |
acacia59601 2008-10-01 . chapter 9Wonderful chapter! I absolutly LOVE the part with Edmund and Aslan. You managed to capture Aslan perfectly! Wonderful, wonderful chapter! |
Tetsubinatu 2008-09-28 . chapter 8I really enjoyed this story for its complexity and depth. Thanks for sharing it!
I note that you have also listed a whole heap of other stories which you have written but which are not at this site. Would you consider posting a link in your bio so that we can read your other work? The homepage linked to an art page which was too big for my limited (aka crappy) dial-up service to cope with, but didn't seem on what I could see to contain fan-fic. I'd love to read more of your Narnia fiction. |
