That incident really was the last nail in both their coffins, wasn't it? And knowing how Saitou's next decision will effect them both over the next three years makes this chapter even more poignant. I can never thank you or say how much I enjoy reading your updates. I am so glad that you started to post these T x S ficlettes ~ what a phenomenal job you've been doing. Buffalocatz 2008-03-23 ch 6,	abuseAh, another satisfying chapter! Every chapter always seems to be my favorite one...just like a little kid, eh? Even though Tokio and Saitou seem so placid on the outside it is so nice to see their inner turmoil and/or consternation. I am curious though ~ Saitou says: "I have never let her know that the interest is growing mutual. For certain reasons, it is not possible for her to know that, at least not now." Does he have an inkling that somewhere down the road he will have to repay his debt, or is he still not certain of himself? Hmm, if the latter then too bad he didn't speak up sooner - maybe he could have dodged Yaso? Thanks again for all your hard work and your weekly treat! Q: I hope that you have entered the Mediaminer contest...;D
Buffalocatz 2008-03-17 ch 5,	abuseTHIS was my absolute favorite chapter of all the chapters written - I loved how you brought out the protective yet gentler side of Saitou. Not one to wear his emotions on his sleeves his outwardly taciturn nature is nothing but cover for his true inner emotions. You also see how proud he is not only of her determination and willingness to pull her weight, but her nurturing of those around her. She certainly passes his close scrutiny, and with flying colors. He is definatly sizing up a potential mate. Good grief - I still don't get why Saitou doesn't have more rabid fan girls?!? LOL. Thanks again for all your devotion to us and your hard work. Catch you on the next update!

Buffalocatz 2008-03-14 ch 4,	abuseI really loved this chapter (of course I seem to love them all...lol!). Male preening is always such an enjoyment - I almost expected him to roll his sleeves up a bit ( taking his hakama off would probably put Tokio in a pleasure induced coma though) in order to accentuate his pleasure...I also liked how he is starting to give into the pleasure (a bit) of showing off a bit before Tokio - he hasn't really made up his mind yet ( or accepted his feelings) but you can see the sparks trying to catch... :) Thanks again for all your hard work, and I always look forward to your updates. Katerineious 2008-03-08 ch 4,	abuseI love this story! Sometimes I get confused when it switches from one character to another, but I absolutely adore the plot. I love Saito/Tokio pairings and your story has captured so much (even though we never meet Tokio in the manga/anime this is very similar to what my interpretation of her is so I love it). Keep up the excellent work!

Buffalocatz 2008-03-02 ch 3,	abuseI loved how Saitoh is still smarting from his past verbal indiscretion with Tokio - seems like his learning curve is pretty fast. You can already see the detective in him that he will one day become as he slowly but surely gets Tokio to tell her story, and while not revealing anything of himself. I laughed at the bathwater comments - him thinking about the mysteries of a woman's mind and her thinking that he must be so relaxed from the ablutions to make him him so 'chatty' and (seemingly)interested. Thanks again for all your hard work, and once again I always look forward to your updates!

And how typically, and arrogantly male of him to ponder on all the moments that he thought that her interest was directed towards him. Tokio, as usual, is cool and collected; always thinking of how best to keep the harmony of the household intact. I always look forward to your updates and continuations!

I don't blame her - they were probably already stretched to their limits, and she was probably thinking what good will an ex-swordsman be and how will he be able to make beneficial contributions...I bet a lot of Samurai went the way of our own ex-plantation owners after the Civil War - never could amount to anything substantial. But as we know, our Wolf went the way Of Scarlett O'Hara and adapted to the times. And I ramble... Another wonderful job, and I certainly can't wait for the next installment and their meeting. Will Saitou be a bit humbled? Grateful (to see Tokio again, that is). Thanks again for all your hard work and catch you at the next update!
