so, i just read this entire story straight through.
i loved it! it is the only believable J/A fic i have ever read, for one thing, and for the second, it was ADORABLE! i loved that Scarey, Harley, and Ivy were in it too! they along with Hatty are my absolute favorite characters. you wrote them all v. well too, everyone was in character.
all in all, it was a very sweet, very entertaining story. the only critique i could possibly offer is that it seemed like some words were missing in some places, and some of the dialog got confusing (as to who was speaking at what time). i understand particularly about that second thing though, as i do it myself. and i loved all the Carroll references throughout! i do wish this story wasn't over... but thanks for sharing it!

It's a nice thought, Batman. But really, isn't it MORE likely that Alice will flip out and become . . . the March Hare or something? This IS Gotham City, after all.

I just LOVED this story... Really! I truly do! I couldn't wait for the next chapter to keep coming ... but, and I mean this with all respect for your wonderful work ... I felt like the ending was a little rushed. Not saying that the ending was at all unsatisfactory, not at all! ... Perhaps an extended epilogue or even a one-shot based on the story to kind of wrap everything up with a little extra frosting on the already yummy cake. Seriously though, this is a great story and one of the best in the Alice / Jervis domain. So Congrats on finishing up such a successfully engulfing story!

I must say that I found this to be a delightful piece. I especially appreciated your use of "villains at play." It was very well done, a little silly but certainly not cloying.

You portrayed Jervis as a absolute dear, just like his sweet Alice. I've always been of the opinion that he not only loved her, but liked her. It was lovely to see that aspect of the relationship in this story.

Crane, Ivy, and Harley act as a lovely chorus; they add a marvelous pinch of comedy relief and the necessary villainous malice, leaving Jervis to be his shy, somewhat dorky, utterly lovable self. It is easy to imagine Harley feeling that a debt must be repaid and dragging Ivy and Crane along with her.

The Carrollian references add a certain sense of legitimacy in the absence of any real evil-doing on Jervis' part. Without them, the entire piece would have suffered...good on you for putting them in! And the chemistry that the shared quotes allowed Jervis and Alice to enjoy certainly made this a romance. (I laughed aloud when you brought up a chef named Lorina who used too much pepper! Very cute.)

Altogether very fluffy, but sometimes one wants to take a step out of Gotham nights and enjoy beloved character in new ways, what?

Very cute. I like the hopeful ending. You could write a sequence some day if you felt like it, but this was a very satisfying ending. Jervis and Alice deserve a chance to find happiness together.

Very Nice Ending, I liked the fact you didn't have Alice join the female ranks of Batman rogues; it feels better if shes a normal woman.

This story was fantastic! I'm sad I didn't come across it until it was nearly over. But it was still amazing nonetheless. Harley absolutely cracks me up, and I must say Alice and Hatter have worked their way up on my favorites list now. :) Fantastic job!
