*dies*...the brilliance. Gah, it's too perfect...dang, this was perfect. I loved what you put about Kairi's eyelids being like camera shutters, so deep...like when they're closed they can't take pictures, can't judge, can't snap a frame of the state Riku's in right then...and, and, and...that he keeps her locked in the CORNER of his eye. It's like, he can't have her so he's got to secretly obsess and it isn't a direct relationship, and how he's stalker-like in liking to watch her sleep a little more than her being awake.

Ooh...and I loved the part where Riku says it's gotta get worse first for it to get better. *dies again* The switch from Riku and Kairi's unconscious state to the two of them on the beach together was brilliant, a swift yet necessary jump to the past. The ending really caught my attention too, especially with the last sentence about the crashing waves sounding like mocking laughter. Oh, the brutality of it all...poor Riku...I always end up feeling sorry for him. Is there no triumph to be made?
