Very nice and sweet, though. I liked the bit at the end, where Gunther finds another cat.

Yeah, the stuff about cats and witches is true. Having a cat was one of the main factors for "proving" if you were a witch or not.

Very moving. There is just so much of Gunther that nobody sees and you were able to show some of this darkness in a short piece. It's bittersweet and touching and quite sad. A worthwhile read.

Oh, the softer side of Gunther. Him and a kitten is too cute esp. how he was excited that Shade was a boy cat, "boys don't need to be pretty"...haha. But his dad is such an a*hole, now we know why Gunther is the way he is. I really like the ending. Together Jane and the one-eyed cat can open Gunther up.

So... being rather new to this fandom, I was sort of expecting to see a boring arrangement of stories written by, like, eight year olds. Or none at all.

And then I get stuff like this, and everything's just awesome.

So, yeah, Gunther = totally aww-able. And the kitten = even more. I sort of guessed it was going to either run away or be killed, but then you have Gunther digging a GRAVE and my eyes watered a bit.

He needs a bit hug, seriously.

Aww... that was so cute! Poor Gunther, though... :'( at least he has a new friend now. I always thought his father was corrupting him.

Love it! Great spacing between the times. I love your descriptions, and the imagery is amazing. There was no awkward phrasings that drew me out of the flow. I noticed a bit of a change in narration from when Gunther was a boy, and modern- the dialgoue was definately different.

I love the ending- I'm happy that you managed to find a good way to end it. CONGRATS.
