You have managed to get across what happened without going into too much detail that may have disturbed people. Also handling it this way lends itself to interesting and angsty coping and recovery for both Mac and Lindsay. A lot of times in fiction the recovery is glossed over by unrealistic overly fluffy romantic notions that the two main characters will immediately be fine once the bad guy is caught. Which is why I think some had reservations about you going down this route. Its nice to see someone realize that they are both going to have a hard time before they manage to get together. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. |
