Wonderful, absolutely wonderful! Loved the entire thing. Incorporating various aspects of the Pilot into your own version. Loved it! Loved it!

I felt that the ending of the story was a little weak. As you said, it was finished off quickly due to time constraints and it shows.
I liked chapter 13, with the flashbacks and him finally coming to know who he was inside, but the ending fell a little flat, though I was glad that Lois and Clark ended up together.
I think I would also like to have seen exactly how Luthor knew about the Kryptonite (also, Clark mentioned that he didn't know where he came from, so why would he call it Kryptonite?), but sometimes it's enough to just have the happy ending, with some room left for a sequel should you ever get back to it.

Now *that* is a different take on how it all began. Very well done. I spotted a few minor bobles, but this is a good story. Perhaps we'll see more from you?

The ending is a bit abrupt. Her feelings aren't explored enough throughout the story, and though we know that Lois will be drawn inexplicably to Clark, there's very little supporting evidence that her feelings run as deep as falling in love.
On the whole, I enjoyed the story. You have a real talent for writing Perry. His dialogue was perfect.
