I like your take on Riza's childhood: it's very well thought out, and I appreciated your footnotes referring to the original text that inspired you (it's always great to see someone who puts such care and research into their writing!). Bravo! I'll be reading more of your excellent work, no doubt about that!

Royai background, love it! The way Hawkeye treats his daughter reminded me of Dante and Izume in the anime. She ends up begging her sensei for acknowledgment and poor Riza never gets the chance to. (Not that Izume got what she asked for either.) Great job as always. I hope you continue it!

Ah, you're focusing on the more grim aspects of Riza's childhood... Her father would do those things, wouldn't he? What a jerk~ And of course Roy didn't have much contact with Riza beyond living in the same house. I think I avoided thinking about these things because they're sad...

The boarding school makes sense, if Riza's dad had the money for it. Better than letting her run around underfoot while she was growing up. No wonder her relationship with her father's so bleak.
