Selfish my ass. Bah. This was a nice little attachment to that episode. And I absolutely adored that open ending. Bashir's right. With Garak there are about a thousand different interpretations for his actions, but you can tell at the core of them he's simply taking care of a friend. Awesome fic!

Oh yes, I love this story. The idea is great - the interaction between Julian and Garak refreshingly believable. I'm impressed - neither are easy characters to "play with", as you say, believably.

loved it! to death! i'm always excited when someone does a garak fic - there's not many, sadly - and even more so when they're done so well! not many pull off the in character garak, but you did. i can imagine this scene happening in the show. it's a good thing my roomies weren't around, 'cause you had me laughing out loud at some of the parts ("You died" "Now that *is* dreadful." haha!). loved the story (have i said that enough?) and espeically the interactions between characters! keep up the great work! :D
