Just got done with the first chapter. Great, great start. Heartbreaking, but awesome. My favorite line was:

"I was her bodyguard... She was my angel... and I was always meant for this moment."

I'll admit, I almost lost it there.

This story is simply awesome.

Description is this story's strong point. I have read TONs of fan fics for various games and animes and the quality of effort and the vivid, detail of every scene is simply outstanding. I never once had a problem visualizing the scenes you presented. The Omnislash scene was simply well written and i enjoyed its liking to a dance.

I never imagined how Cloud's death would effect the group had it been him to die instead of Aeris. Heh, she was the glue to hold the group together but Cloud was the backbone. All of the characters' reactions to his death was well written and very believable.

My only issue is to make Cid's cussing into words instead of the !#$#$%^ we saw in the game.

Other than that good job.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of this story unravels.
