I personally found Saren's story really satisfying in the game (though I wish they'd explored it more), and this writing really feels true to that in a way that, say, the novel did not. I have no criticisms to offer, this is just excellent. Love the title.

But this sounds a little too selfless for him. He even says in the game, that he's following Sovereign to ensure his own survival. He says nothing of the other races. Still, now that I think about it, the relationship between Saren and Nihlus is a good mirror for that between Shepherd and Anderson. Two bitter enemies and their respective proteges. ...Anyway, yeah, this is good. Nice look at Saren's uncertainties and reminding us that despite what he does and says, he's still all too "organic".

The writing demonstrates not only a firm command of the story elements, but a refined understanding of the characters, with Saren stealing the show as usual. I was thinking of writing something involving the perspective of everyone's favorite rogue spectre, but now I am eager to see what else you can accomplish with this character. Bravo.
