The way that you have the interaction between Tim and Curly regarding girls just rings really true to me--I think a lot of stories fail to address the whole rivalry/opinions about girls/boys that siblings get, and I like way that you've handled it. Tricia seems really fragile, but in a not-unbelievable way. In the last chapter when she cried, I really felt that that was an appropriate response that anyone would give in that situation--a certain amount of self-pity, and a lot of unhappiness, but nothing completely ridiculous, and I think it's believable ESPECIALLY for a teenage girl, that they wouldn't necessarily haul off and punch someone. This is actually my favorite story that you've written. :)
iLikeToWatch 2008-04-23 ch 3, anon.	abuseAs you already know (you've got great reviews :) this is really well-written and overall, well-done. There are just a few things that hit me though. I don't find it very realistic that all those 'rumours' about Tricia would actually follow her out of high school. Furthermore, I can't really see Curly insulting her for it. The way you've described him (determined not to be a virgin when he gets into highschool, etc.), he seems more like the kind of person that would see her as this great opportunity, rather than some slut! It'd also be nice if you gave Tricia some attitude. Though I feel for her in her plight, it's more a feeling of pity, than sympathizing. I can't see any chemistry between her and Curly. Anyhow, to end on a good note, I enjoyed reading this. You have a great writing style that makes the story interesting and easy to read. Good job. :)

NittanyLizard 2008-04-04 ch 3,	abuseAnd in one swoop, Ron gets screwed over by Tricia's past :D. Nice job, great chapter. Poor Tricia, what an awful experience to have in high school. Not too far off the mark, though. Every man for himself. I won't make too many comments because I'm too far behind in everything else to have a good enough sense of who everybody is and what happens along the timeline. But so far on its own, I think I'm following. And even if I'm not, I'm enjoying the story. Signing off, the bus is almost here. Liz

I absolutely love the humor in all of this, because it's subtle enough to be real - doesn't feel funny to them, but to somebody looking into their heads from the outside it really is. Curly's experience with Elaine was the best. Great job describing it. And then at the end, it all gets pulled together with Tricia's unexpected (to Curly) reaction. You do a fantastic job building tension. On to next chapter before the bus gets here . . .

Isn't there a Ron in one of your other fics? I think I remember a guy with a mustache who is supposedly like a bad dude. But I'm probably WAY off here, so forget I said that. Anyways, I'm glad to see that the feelings of love have resurfaced! They are so totally meant for each other, its hilarious how perfect they are for each other but they just don't notice it and keep denying themselves, thinking that it will never happen. You've really made me hate Ray more, I'm not sure if that was your intention though. I always end up feeling bad for Curly, even though he would probably hate that. Why is it that the Shepard boys dig girls that always look scared? Like Tim likes Ruby who supposedly looks scared a lot, and apparently Tricia does too. So once again, thanks for updating with a wonderful chapter and please continue your magnificent writing. Please update with another chapter soon!

Big Town Avenue 2008-03-07 ch 2,	abuseWhoa, Curly, a little harsh. I am glad he's kind of surprised that she's crying and he seems to feel a little bad about it. I love Curly's pov. I never, ever see it, so it's kind of refreshing, especially since everybody seems to think of Curly as dumb. lol I love that he's a virgin and it's just about killing him. I can see him being really upset over the fact because of all the stories he hears from the guys, but you have to wonder how many of their stories are actually true.
